"Very cool."
"Very cool."
Pros
I have a screenshot of a modular home floor plan. It's too much house for me, so I need to whittle down the inside without changing the outside too much. With this software, I'm able to easily recreate and change the floor plan. Cool.
Cons
Only one so far - it won't save with a screenshot pasted to the grid.
Summary
If you've ever worked with MS Paint, or MS PictureIt!, or any other graphic software, this will be easy to figure out. Read the included manual carefully and experiment to figure it out completely.

"Superb Program, especially considering the modest cost"
Pros
This is an amazingly complete architectural drawing program that's far more valuable than its 19.99 price. easy to use. easy to learn. the demo gives you everything to try (aside from save, print, export,..)
Cons
wish they'd done the update sooner. No cons about this great product.
Summary
I just updated my Ez-Architect from version 4 to version 5 for ten bucks. I?m sure glad I did! There are dozens of new colored patterns for simulating floorboards, wood, grass, trees, foliage, shingles, siding?you name it. And for the first time ever, there are auto-dimension lines that you can turn on in the Preferences dialog so that lines and rectangles get a dimension next to them. And I can now export any floor plan I make into PDF images as well as any other image format. I also get to print Reports of plans that show all the objects, their name, their dimensions, their angles, their object type. I can even draw objects by clicking twice, once at one corner and once at the corner diagonally opposite it in case I get tired of dragging out objects the usual way. If my finger is sore from too much dragging, this is a great help (it was sore today and I found it a handy option). I've drawn lots of things, including floor plans and elevations in the past few years and I've always wanted a preview feature where I can select a folder and zip through this folder full of my super cool drawings, using the down arrow, and see a thumbnail of each one as I go by. Well, now there is such a feature and I'm happy as a clam! I can also choose to see dimensions in fractional feet and inches, and this fits with tape measures so that 11 feet 3 and 3/8 inches, for instance, will appear as I drag out an object. The rulers even have red lines in them that follow my cursor around the screen, which helps with both measuring and positioning.
These guys have obviously spent a lot of time on this and done a lot of new stuff. It makes it the best thing you can get for under $20 anywhere, in my opinion.
I have no complaints except I wish they?d have updated the program sooner. But it?s done now, it?s very cool, and that is that.
"GOOD ONLY FOR playing"
"GOOD ONLY FOR playing"
Pros
more for drawing and playing ,
Cons
Not for real work
Summary
another BS program that does nothing to create real plans. It is much easier to just draft blueprints with pencil and paper
"Doesn't Work"
"Doesn't Work"
Pros
After downloading the program it appears to be very easy to use.
Cons
Could not use the tools from the tool bar as demonstrated on website.
Summary
XP Pro Operating System:
Upon downloading and opening up the Zip file, I noticed the read me file. The read me file advises you may have to download some additional file from Microsoft which may be missing for XP and Vista.
The program appeared to download properly on my computer. After opening the program I checked out the Manual to get started. It seemed to be easy. For practice I draw a simple 10' X 10' Box. After I draw the box, I then attempted to use the tools to place objects such and Toilet, Shower, and Basin into my box. None of the tools would drag and drop. Checking out the website for help I noticed the tools seemed to be Highlighted better then on the the program screen I was using. The demo from the website showed dragging and dropping. Just didn't work for me. I'm gonna check out You Tube to see if anyone out there has some answers.
At this point I can't recommend this program. If I discover how the program works without a lot of complications, I'll write a retraction.

"Great for home renovation projects!"
Pros
Excellent program for the non-professional designer. Very intuitive. Great for do-it-yourself projects and the small contractor. The manual is well written and covers everything in simple detail.
Cons
I have not tried more complex multi-layered designs, but can't see anything yet I am not pleased with.
Summary
With respect to functionality and simplicity, this program is well worth the small price.
"Good quality CAD, extremely simple, good in-built help"
"Good quality CAD, extremely simple, good in-built help"
Pros
It does what many more expensive CAD systems do but is much more user friendly. Ez-Architect was so easy to use that I now draw my husband's engineering drawings with it. It uses layers, just like the more expensive systems. Excellent Support.
Cons
Nothing negative to say. Great Program.
Summary
I bought Ez-Architect to design the interior of our home built campervan. I already have a very expensive CAD system, but it is very complicated and not really suited to home plans. However, Ez-Architect was so easy to use that I now draw my husband's engineering drawings with it. It does what many more expensive CAD systems do but is much more user friendly. It is easy to choose drawing units, scale, add text and edit objects. It uses layers, just like the more expensive systens and has the capability to make your own furniture and add it to the libraray. I found it so easy to draw the van floor plan to scale, make my own furniture, like the combined sink and oven hob, and drop it into the plan. Using the Ez_Architect, I was able to move the kitchen furniture around and find the optimal arrangement for our campervan furniture. So much easier than trying it with the real thing! Ez-Architect has little added extras that I find very helpful, like the line measuring tool. I have just purchased the Home and Office library and I have found the quality of the art just as good and the after sales support excellent. I cannot recommend this programme enough. If you want a good quality CAD that is extremely simple to use. with a good in-built help, get this.
