• Best "Viewer" in-town

  Pros

  this excel viewer 2003 is by far the best one in town. required for viewing (and not editing) large amounts of data, like auto-filtering. this viewer also preserves the formatting and pre-set filtering options that is included in the files sent to them for viewing.

  Cons

  for the most part there are none "except" that it cant open tables that are not saved in the standard .xls format. so providing spreadsheets to people that will rely on the this viewer will need the files sent to them in xls format, which is no big deal.

  Summary

  do not be fooled into downloading other excel viewers, including third party versions and microsofts viewer 2007 version, as they all have been stripped down of many valuable features. get this 2003 version and save it, until microsoft realizes their mistake and re-introduces the simple but valuable features into a newer version.

  I installed it and it converted all my file names to .x?? ending and I was unable to edit them any more!!! It did not ask me, I use Excel 2010 and wanted a reader to just read and open files at times. It took over my computer, after uninstall had fun converting all the files to my format

  Pros

  This software allows you to view Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets of any type (ex: 97, 2000, 2003, 2007). It is very good! Get it.
