As a longtime BBEdit power user I must confess that I always wished that lots the features from Editix will appear in it. But I'm pretty satisfied using Editix on Mac OS X (a PB G4 800) which runs fast, realiable and stable. This is my second major Java application that I'm using on a daily basis (my first is DbVisualizer).

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I really hate to see a good product get a bum wrap just because of some irresponsible reviewers. This app runs very well in OS X 10.3.2. I use it almost daily and have absoluely no problems with performance or stability. As for it being Java, SO WHAT? In case you haven't noticed virtually every XML editor on the market is written in Java. That makes perfect sense because XML is inherently cross-platform and is better supported by Java than any other language. I have owned several XML editors, all costing $80-250 more than EditiX. EditiX can holds its own against any of them.

And this one has all the features that I am used to from other platforms. It is quick and has an excellent GUI.
