no install, waiting, and it`s small....
can convert only 1 file
i think, it`s a program what i need, easy and fast...
it does what it says it does
UI is clunky. Files it created won't work with my blackberry but that may be my hardware, not their software.
I am going to download it again and see if I had an error in the downloadrk
Simple to use, worked first time around.
Needs to be updated. Would like to see whole file name.
It's been said in other reviews program is old. File window looks like Windows 3.0. Need to be updated but links are not current. Is it worth the trouble to install? I say yes, need to convert .rtf files and this does it without any fuss or muss.
none this is evidently malicious software
dont bother with this program
malicious software evidently
once installed i got a notification that something was trying to dowload files from my computer. and the program by the way did nothing. i deleted it right away.
Presents two subwindows showing two different directory paths. Highlighting a file and selecting "convert" copies the file from the source (left) window directory to the right window directory, as is, with no apparent change in the file.
Built in help does not function, no help file appears. Selecting help > update or either of two web addresses listed under help leads to advertizing/spyware sites.
Judging from other user only reviews, I suspect rather old, this software utility may have been useful in the past. However, it (a) was apparently designed as a test to see if enough user support revenue would result, (b) it is no longer supported by the programmer (listed as Eric Shan, Nov 2002), (c) it no longer functions in any useful way under Windows XP Pro and (d) links within the program have been taken over by websites pushing adds and spyware.
I converted a 300 page text file and found that every page had a repeated paragraph or two from a previous page. Also when you bring up the program and change to the directory your source file is at the program lists all the files in that directory instead of just the text files. Since you can't see long file names (>32 char) in this program, it was hard for be to figure out which files were the text ones and which were the indentically named .lit files.
I downloaded it, expected to go through the install process - but no - it's done - just open the desktop icon and move the files over, double click the pdb version and hot sync to the Palm...so easy!
