This simple, but addictive program, strikes us as an enhanced version of the classic Dope Wars game. You start with $2,000 and must build up your bank by buying and selling illegal substances, such as crack, hashish, and LSD. However, you have to watch out for robbers, street gangs, and the police; they want to topple your empire and do you harm. You can head to the hospital if your life level gets too low, or you can hop on a plane to a number of worldwide locations to negotiate shady deals. Unlike Dope Wars, Drug Lord lets you see drug prices in all cities, so you can strategically plan your moneymaking ventures. This program's interface is its weakest point, as it's mainly a bland gray box with a few buttons and a message window that delivers rumors and news. The sound effects also are rudimentary, but you can turn them off if you like. Though not appropriate for younger players, fans of Dope Wars and those with an entrepeneurial streak will likely enjoy Drug Lord.Publisher's description
From Geek Hideout :Drug Lord 2 continues where Drug Lord 1 left off. Your goal is still to amass as much money as possible by buying and selling drugs, but your neighborhood has grown considerably. You now can visit major world cities via air travel to buy and sell goods. In some cities drugs are dirt cheap, and in others they are priced sky-high. Watching the markets is your key to success in buying low and selling high. All this globe-trotting is not without its dangers, however, airport security has a watchful eye open for drug dealers, and unless you take precautions you might find yourself staring at the flashes from their guns. Drug Lord 2 also introduces global shipping, where you can send drugs from one city to another and meet up with them later, avoiding any airport hassles. In each city you also have a drug vault where you can store goods and come back for them later.
