Share files & folders over Bonjour with drag & drop ease.
Easily and quickly send files and folders to multiple destinations across your LAN by simply dragging files onto recipients in a popup window. The easiest way to get things from one place to another quickly without dialogs, passwords or confirmations.
I've been suing this program for years and can't live without it!!!
Useless security breach
osos10
Pros
Simple to use and install
Cons
No security during file transfer - your device is essentially protect less ...
The location of the drop-point is inconvenient and you can't change it (the pref doesn't work)
On the iOS device the received files are useless unless you pay for the full version
Summary
Installed on both my MBP and iPad. I was able to transfer files between the two without any security check, not even an approval of the receiving side ... TERRIBLE !!! On the iPad the received files are useless as I cannot preview them without the full paid version. Needless to say that I flashed it and I am not recommending it.
Made my Macs run very slowly.

Pros
Easy to install and use.
Cons
Appears to have made my 2 MacBookPros (with Lion) run very slowly, so I uninstalled DropCopy and repaired the disks and permissions. Now my Macs work at normal expected speed.
Summary
Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Pros
It makes very easy and fast to transfer files between computers, better than using a flash drive, or uploading and downloading from a cloud.
Cons
None that I have found.
Summary
Quick and easy to transfer files on your local network

I have an iMac and a MacBook that alternate as my main machine, so I must constantly move files between them. This app makes doing so not only easy, but actually FUN! AND IT'S FREE!!!!
Great product, but problems sending .webloc files

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
My son and I have used DropCopy for several years to send files to each other on our LAN, and we love it. It's a great and easy way to share files. I wish there was a PC equivalent that I could use to share files with my Dell. I've rated it at least 4 stars across the board, except for support.
However, and this just started recently, when we try to send Safari link files (.webloc), DropCopy starts archiving the file, but never finishes. We're both running version 1.5.3. We have both have "preserve resource forks" disabled, so it shouldn't be archiving the file at all. If I change the filename to remove ".webloc", it transfers successfully. Any other files transfer successfully. The two major changes have been replacing my router (shouldn't cause this behavior), and my son replacing his old TiBook with a new MacBook.
Biggest problem: I tried registering on 10base-t's support forum, but it doesn't let me register - it just returns me to the main support forum page. I tried sending 10base-t an email from their web form, but the email doesn't seem to get through. If it does, I haven't received any response. I rated support as two stars, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but the fact is, I am unable to contact them.
What no feedback yet? DropCopy is the bomb

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a great little application which in my opinion captures the spirit of the Mac. And the authors give it away for home use. It works perfectly for my needs and saves me time and effort. That's why I crossed over to Apple eight years ago. Bravo!
