Dream Photo Editor allows users to create photo collages with a variety of special effects. Unfortunately, the program's clunky interface and sometimes tacky content hinder its effectiveness.

Upon opening the program, we were met with several error messages right off the bat. This was followed by two nonsensical screens with unlabeled buttons. We clicked a couple of them at random, got a couple more error messages, and then the program opened. Nice. The program's interface is somewhat cluttered and not particularly attractive. The functions aren't bad. Users can start with a blank background or use one of the program's included templates. It displays the contents of the user's computer in a tree structure within Dream Photo Editor, which makes it easy for users to access photos on their computer; the drag-and-drop feature was especially nice. The program includes the typical features that one would expect from such a program, including masks, clip art, and basic photo-editing functions. The clip art, masks, and templates that are included in Dream Photo Editor seem skewed toward a somewhat younger audience, and their quality is not as high as we've encountered in other programs. Teenage girls would likely enjoy this program, but older users would probably want something with a more sophisticated feel.

Dream Photo Editor is free to try, but prints a watermark on finished images. The program installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program with reservations; it's not completely unusable, but we've seen much better function and content from similar programs.
