The limits of this trial version of DocPixie make it difficult to determine its power, and we saw a mixed bag in terms of results. In some documents, images were rendered correctly, but formatting left much to be desired. The interface allows batch conversion, and you can convert Web pages to documents directly from Internet Explorer. The limit of five pages per document interfered with our tests of its performance. We imagine the program could be especially helpful for those who frequently use extracts from PDF documentation.Publisher's description
From 4Better Computing :DocPixie 1.1 is a powerful and convenient document-format-conversion tool. It supports conversion from Adobe Acrobat files (PDF) to Microsoft Word (DOC) or Web pages (HTML), without the need for Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. New features include integration into Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer, support for nine languages, and improved conversion effects. Main features include various fonts, a perfect-image effect, hyperlink redirection, powerful controls, and batch operations. The functionalities of the trial version are limited, allowing only the first five pages of a source file to be converted.

Version: DocPixie 1.1
"Good program, bad formatting"
Pros: This program looks quite nice, and does a quick job.
Cons: The formatting isnt perfect, so the program is far from it.

Version: DocPixie 1.1
"Works pretty good for the price but can't be registered so has no real value."
Pros: Tested in on several pdf's and found it works pretty good for a $5 software program. Especially useful if you like to cut and paste.
Cons: 4Better Computing no longer appears to be in existence. There is no way to purchase the product and get a registration code. So you are left with software limited to the first 5 pages. Too bad since it seemed like it was going to work for me. If anyone knows more about 4Better Computing, let us all know. Hey download.com, maybe pull this demo since it has no real value now.

Version: DocPixie 1.1
Pros: This is an easy to use program. You pick your PDF file(s) to convert, tell it whether you want Word doc files or HTML, and go!
Cons: Nothing about the product ~ I am upset that I cannot locate the website to pay for the full version. Apparently they have gone out of business? The trial does up to 5 pages of conversion. I can live with that for now, but wanted it all!

Version: DocPixie 1.1
Pros: Seemed to work very well on the first five pages (the limit of the trial version)
Cons: I liked the way the trial version worked and need to convert more than five pages and the $4.99 was certainly a good price but I can't get to the 4Better Computing web page to buy the utility so it really is of very little use to me. Does anyone know where I can register this program?
