"Does not do all it claims, and refund is refused!"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 2.5
Pros
None, unless losing your money is a positive. There are cheaper and far better software products out there who will offer an UNCONDITIONAL refund guarantee. Buy one of these instead and you will not be as disappointed as me.
Cons
Whatever you do, buy something else. The software claims to "recover all lost files", but this is simply not the case. It is nowhere near as good as many other software programs, all of which it seems offer an unconditional refund guarantee if you are not happy.
I am now in communication with Plimus the umbrella organisation, as Diskinternals are refusing a refund as I did not fully read the whole end user license agreement before purchase.Summary
Avoid at all costs, as it will cost you dearly if you make the same mistake as a (sadly) growing number of us.
RESULT!
Updated on Oct 27, 2011
Despite the aggressive tactics used by Diskinternals, refusing me a refund and blaming me for purchasing their failure of a product, I persevered, kept challenging them and finally resorted to claiming a refund back through Paypal. Plimus agreed with me (despite Diskinternals aggressive claims to the contrary saying I would never get a refund), and Plimus have enforced a refund to me from them.
I hope this provides some sense of hope to the numerous other customers who have been ripped off by Diskinternals. There are far far better software programs out there, who have a true unconditional guarantee. -
"This product has tried to blackmail me"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 2.5
Pros
I have nothing good to say about this product.
It appeared on my office computer at the EXACT time that several of my files disappeared!!Cons
The product, Diskinternals Uneraser 3.91, showed up when I right clicked on windows explorer during my attempt to find a MS Publisher file that had just disappeared. The software offered to fix my problem for a fee. I've NEVER lost files before this.
Summary
I believe it was either hacked, or it's a thug.

"BAD BAD BAD"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.8
Pros
None at all imho.
Cons
ALL BAD IMHO
Summary
BAD BAD BAD. Does not work as advertised, support or even a refund... forget it. They even threatned me with legal action if I post negative comments. These are my own opinions of course, you decide on your own.

"Worst Product Ever"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.8
Pros
There were no pros this program at all.
Cons
The program would not open on my computer at all. I tried disabling the firewall and antivirus and running their compatibility set-up and still the program would not open. Their EULA guaranteed that it worked on Windows 7. It did not.
Summary
Worst product I have ever purchased. Additionally, their customer service department seems to be run rude teenagers. When I contacted them they originally told me I didn't know what I was doing and explained to me that I needed to disable my anti-virus software. When I told them I had already tried that and everything else they said to me, and I quote... "SO WHAT? You were never guaranteed it would work and just because it down not work is not grounds for a refund." I had to file a dispute with my credit card company for the charge. Worst company, worst customer service department, worst product ever.

"DiskInternals Uneraser 4.8 Review"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.8
Pros
0 zero there is nothing good about this product
Cons
Everything. These people should be in jail for selling this useless product.
Summary
When I purchased this product I knew I was taking a gamble because I couldn't find any reviews on it. The product DOES NOT WORK and it only gets worst the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I was insulted over e-mails. Don't buy it save your money and time.

"Diskinternals Uneraser Bait and Switch!"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.8
Pros
The download and setup was easy.
Cons
"free to try" is balony. The program appeared to find the file I wanted then required a year's payement of $39.95 to "recover" the file and save it so that I could use it.
Summary
The program might work, I don't know, but I would'nt use it because I don't like companies who deceive me.

"DO NOT BUY!! POOR PRODUCTS - WORSE SUPPORT!!"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.6
Pros
Absolutely NOTHING. If I could have added a negative star rating, I would have.
Cons
EVERYTHING. Product does not perform. You risk losing your file completely when using this product. There is virtually no product help screens available even after purchasing ...and when you run into problems, this company offers NO support.
Summary
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. After a month of email discussions (no phone support offered), their 'technical support' has only resorted to finger pointing and casting blame. Thy have offered NO support to attempt to recover the file and will not consider refunding any money.
Actual quotes from 'support' email:
"Did we say that we offer phone support?"
"Now your lost files are unrecoverable because they're overwritten with the parts of the files you've tried to recover. There is no reason for refund because it's you who made your files unrecoverable by ignoring our warning message. "
""You are about to restore file(s) to the same partition it was erased from, which is not recommended" It was not recommended - but you wanted to risk, now you see what it caused." -
"I was able to recover all but a few files."
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.6
Pros
The program is fast and easy to use. It shows a snapshot of files you are trying to recover. have to option of saving recovered files to HD, USB, or burn to CD/DVD.
Cons
It shows 0kb files to be recovered, but actually recovers what you selected, give or take a few. more expensive than others out there, but comes up first in Google search.
Summary
The product does what it claimed... It did what I wanted it to do! I did not have to deal with their tech support so can't speak to that. The $39 one year support threw me for a loop, not sure if I missed an option to accept or not accept that. Alway pay attention to the details.

"Wish I had seen the 'buyer beware' review before paying"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.6
Pros
Easy to use interface
Cons
Nasty business practices
No support for large filesSummary
Demo version indicated my file could be recovered so I upgraded to the paid version, but the file could not be recovered. I contacted support and noted it was showing file size as 0kb. (I later found out this is due to a NTFS limit on files >4GB that diskinternals can't handle). Support offered to assist me in recovering a 0kb file with the same name as my deleted 30GB file. When I asked for a refund I was rebuffed and they insisted that creating a 0kb file with the same name as my deleted file constituted 'recovery'. When I mentioned I might post this review they threatened me with legal action.

"ONE GIANT RIP-OFF"
Version: DiskInternals Uneraser 4.6
Pros
ONE GIANT RIP=OFF
Cons
Trial worked. Paid and all went south. Support sent link for new version and when used was told I needed different software that was $100 more. Support basically said "PAY $100 MORE OR TOO BAD FOR YOU."
Summary
ONE GIANT RIP-OFF. Limits of space causes this tale to be too short. BUYER BEWARE.
