This MMORPG game takes place in a near-future environment with vampires as its unique subject. You can freely choose one of the two contesting races - Vampires or Slayers. Each race shows its distinct features in growth system, items, skills, and classes. Each race has its strengths and weaknesses. There are various vehicles or magic to take you across the vast map. Minor territorial conflicts naturally cause small battles between the races. The night and day cycle not only affects the vision of the characters or the change in the environment, but has different effects on different races.

My time spent with this title was one of pure curiosity, the multiple races and leveling systems for each race made me want to try everything out. From the modern day type of grind seen in the online market we are used to of the Ouster race, to the skill based progression of the Slayer race make this game a rather interesting one to waste your time on.
The experience rate for this game is pretty high so you won't be spending all of your time (just most of it) grinding away in a dungeon. Getting to a high enough level to enter the PvP aspect of the game, which it is targeted to is a real blast. The excellent race threeway battlefield is truly an experience in itself.
The bad part about this game is that it will never live up to it's potential due to a lack of community. Hackers are rarely seen now since most of them are what chased off the community. Back in 2008 this may of been your escape from reality and midnight gaming choice for months on end. However, like I said before. Good luck meeting anyone in this game that is even worth the time to friend.
The start to the game for every race is not very pleasing. You are mostly left with a vague image of what you need to do and stuck to grind your way up until you can even have a remote chance at taking part in PvP.
My outlook on this one is play it if you liked any of the classic isometric viewed MMO titles of the 90s, if not. Don't even waste your time. -

The story, the theme, and atmosphere of the game are good. The character models themselves have a degree of maturity on them. The leveling system seems overall sound. The music is in touch with the theme of the game, which is dark, medievil.
Cons
The character don't have much depth in their animation. The community is horrible, and cheating is rampant. Events dilude the game's gameplay such as menegroth dungeon to level easily. Free to play, but you can't play the whole game without paying.
Summary
The main strength of games like these is they involve a community. Unfortunately there isn't much of a community in this game since everybody is allowed to cheat the game system, and events promote easy gameplay. The competitiveness of this game is squandered. This results in devalued gameplay which nobody takes seriously, and where almost nobody hardly plays. Unless you are curious, enjoy cheating, then this game can be something to look into, but as a hardcore game, this is certainly not it. The intergrity of this game is nonexistant. Not only is it not that much worth playing, in my opinion it isn't worth paying money over for a corrupted game. If there is one way to destroy a MMORPG, DarkEden would be a great example. Unfortunately, the administrators, the publisher, and the developers have not fixed any of these issues, and have not for a very long time. There is no general managers, or oversight of the game. Instead they seem eager to give you new payment options instead of correcting the issues plaguing the game. The game is playable, but it isn't for the hardcore, or the serious gamer looking for something to master, and accomplish, much less offering real competition, and interesting gameplay. The game has a nice theme however, and a actual story, but no real substance as it is distorted by cheating, and events that do not promote fun of the game. Otherwise, if you want a real game, look else where.

Summary
There are 3 races, Slayers/Humans, Vampires and Ousters (Magical beings, half human, half vampires). Every class has its own weakness and pros, but what makes it different of some games, and the same like others, is that it looks like Diablo, and that's why the game look so cool. The spells are different for every race, like slayers have Gun, Sword, Blade, Heal and Enchant and Ousters have Fire, Earth, Water, Wind and they can use a Chakra, a roundy razor-sharp edge. Vampires have they skills based on poisoning and "blood". Vampires use claw/knuckle weapon and have power over than ousters or slayers. But later in game, they get like the same, or even weaker. By having such variety is that makes the worls of Dark Eden really addictingly fun. Is like when you start playing you can't stop no more. If anyone has read all this text that i made, I really recommend the game, just don't forget to create a game account lol =D

The characters have too many charge up skills that need to be activated every so often. It is tedious to activate all your ehancement skills. Passive skills anyone? Anyways it gets boring. I would understand attack skills, but not these kind.
Summary
It's a hack, and slash game. Nothing hardcore about it. The world is not that expansive, and lot of things don't make sense with the game. Not to mention it's buggy, and the game is overrun with players with speed trainers among other things which is obviously cheating. I have a Nvidia 128, and the game actually runs slower than the standard GPU that most standard brand name computers. Infact I was told to run the game in 256 color mode. Unbelievable. Anyways, the game is corny, and the pubisher Joymax, or Softon asking 10 bucks a month for a badly designed game. Compelling characters, and story, but that's about it.

It's pretty fun to play it I guess, just for the hell of it.
It's not very populated though.
DarkEden isn't trying to be SilkRoad Online, in anyway shape or form, so I don't know how that's a negative review by someone.
Cons
It's really your average Diablo clone, and how many of those are there?
No one is on it, if they are they are an extremely high level, which makes the game boring.
