"Don't spend money on this game, you'll regret it!!"

    January 27, 2012  |   By BootsW

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

Wonderful community, fast paced action, and the ONLY game of its kind that I've found. It is really GREAT if you don't pay to play.

    Cons

    -ridiculously bad customer service
-the company sets out to cheat you if you spend money on the game
    -customers do not matter
-if you fall victim to phishing or hacking they blame it on you and do NOTHING to help
-security in this game is a joke
-unpaid moderators and admins are made to take all the frustration by the customer base directed toward the company
-gambling by people under the age of 21 with virtual currency that can be earned for free or paid for
-this game is developing some serious addictive habbits in its customers

    Summary

I love playing this game, but I've learned through years of experience with it that if you don't watch yourself you'll lose a LOT of money on it. I recommend that if you start playing and paying for this game you let everyone in your immediate family know and have them watch your spending habbits, because you won't see it until its to late and you've wasted a LOT of money.

    "Very bad customer service."

    July 18, 2011  |   By MortensGreie

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

Free if you don't decide to spend money for monopoly money

    Cons

The worst customer service I've encountered. They made a small mistake which could have easily been fixed for no cost - but because they refused to fix it they lost a customer that had been spending around 100 euro in a week.

    Summary

If you are out for a free game - it's pretty decent. But i would not invest ANY money there.

"Be very carefull before you join!"

    April 2, 2010  |   By Vlado_BA_SK

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

Simple to play (old client), no installing necessary

    Cons

For somebody (especially children) could be habit-forming. Ambiguous or faulty rules (you'll find later when playing). Rude administrators (especially CZ/SK). Often swear words and abuse in chat used (seen in CZ/SK). Instability/errors in GUI.

    Summary

My experience with DO (by German BigPoint) is very bad.

Administrator can ban you from chat or user forum for more days without any warning or noticing just because of two letters in name e.g. (in my case BA= Bratislava) or for copying one Wikipedia page at user forum (30day ban) when arguing about that "BIG" should be added to The Rules, so users can recognize, it's a "crucial personal information", they cannot mention in chat (or 7days ban).

Administrators (CZ/SK) use sweard words in replies to users i.e. "an*l alpinism" or "as*-crawler", etc. If user asks to get any explanation of The Rules, admins sooner or later ignore him or block him on user's forum.

In chat (even in "prime-time" 8:00-11:00PM) is often a rude language, abuse and insulting seen. Children can join this "trash talk" without any problems.

Ambiguous or faulty rules are hard to find from the main screen (but you'll find game features easily). There're no list of penalties mentioned in The Rules, so it's a pure administrator's "free-style").

So if you're calm, asking nothing just paying for Uridium, everything is ok. But if you are at the top with ship equipment (no much further fees expected) or mention any technical problems with your ship in chat, troublesl begin (jeer, ban, blocking, ignoring...). So my advice is, be very carefull, if your consider to start with Dark Orbit!!!

    Pros

A brillent game, but customer service is awful and not helpful

    Cons

Their security is awful and customer service is even worst

    Summary

the product itself is good but their security and customer service is awful and not truthful at all. however, On Christmad Day 2009 Dark Orbit got hacked, players lost their accounts and credit cards details, DO denied all responsibility, apparently one of their staff hacked and stolen the accounts some of them appear on Ebay. DO NOT PLAY you WILL LOSE EVERYTHING

"it is the perfect stragety game for all ages."

    December 17, 2008  |   By airstriker12

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

the game is fast-paced, action-packed and a perfect game with 4 chat fields: global, EIC/VRU/MMO, clansearch and your clan chat. this has something for everyone as you progress from a dingy to a feared battleship that conquers enemy bases.

    Cons

this has the potential to go all the way to the top, adding to the fact it belongs to the top 5 safest gaming sites in Europe, it has potential. With over 11 million people already registered, it has the potential to bring in upto 4 times as much.

    "Darkorbit (admins are rude kids!!!)"

    November 14, 2008  |   By niceguyzzz

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

Cool game from the start, any user can spend real money to compete for real prizes except each step of the monolog from lvl 1 and up leins to replenish the sweepstakes, buying more gear for a capable ship. Usualy at least 300 players online.

    Cons

The games re-designed to get your attention, hopefully spend a lot of money!! like hundreds of dollars in a few days to compete for the monthy prize of 10,000 dollars. The managers are playing too so don't count on any fair gameplay w/ their clans.

    Summary

Once you join a clan you have a chance of enjoying the game.
It all starts with this..... Any recruiting for a clan ,"party of teamates" you get banned from chat. If your new to the game and ask to be in a clan, you get banned for five minutes. By that time you will have figured out not to ask to be recruited to a clan in chat hmm. The first mistake after i reported to the forum of a rude chat manager. I had gotten my chat window back. A few min. later i was raided by two different clans "rare" who tried to tear me apart he. Stuck between to portals i have to put up with the graphics of the portals opening and closing as a seven or eight player fleet from some private lcd chat window that the order came from i'm sure. Of course i can't call foul play becouse my CHAT window has been turned off agian for no reason 10 min. later in frantic cruel play, i had no chance to ask. WHY? Afterwards i was totaly disrespected by the same clowns in the chat as now was able to see what all the talk was about again. Funny thing is they have no graphical pause and get twice as much dps. The administration needs to clean up this game before two many young kids get ripped off by a rude managment that mostly gets to complete higher level quest logs and useses any means to discourage clans joining against all there precouse mineral that increases fire power, shields and engines. Since they are able to control all the software includeding being able to stop email to the main administrator, which is always buggish on the contact page on the forums and i've yet to accomplish. Whats so neat about darkorbit's game quality is that if its all curruptive. How could it ever be proven, I would say this place is beta...wicked gets as wicked can be. Exept in this version the bugs are tards with admin passwords.....

    October 21, 2008  |   By RONJQ

    Version: Dark Orbit 1.0

    Pros

THE BUGS, THE AMMO, THE UPGRADES.
THE SOUNDS THAT THE BUGS MAKE SOMETIMES EVEN SCARE ME! ITS SO COOL !!!

    Cons

IT WOULD BE NICE TO PUT A PORTAL IN SOME OF THE CONQUERED PLACES.
    LIKE A PORTABLE PORTAL MABE?
