From DAZ 3D:
DAZ Studio is the perfect tool to design unique digital art and animations using virtual people, animals, props, vehicles, accessories, environments and more. Simply select your subject and/or setting, arrange accessories, setup lighting, and begin creating beautiful artwork. Inheriting the best of version 4, DAZ Studio 4.5 introduces a new look and feel focused on ease-of-use. There are new video tutorials included within the application to help users get up to speed quickly, along with many technological innovations to improve the creation experience. While compatible with past versions of 3D models and add-ons, DAZ Studio 4.5 enables the next generation of figures from DAZ 3D, the GenesisTM series. The Genesis series facilitates a whole new paradigm of figure creation, customization, and sharing.
Insufficient power to do anything more than basic 3D stuff. The app is a marketing too for suckers to purchase additional art.
If you are looking for a flexible 3D program, this ain't it. DOn't look for 2D to 3D converters or anything the slight bit sophisticated. The functionality is basic, but the degree of command complexity is significant. Not for the faint of heart. I am still looking!

Version: DAZ Studio 188.8.131.52
DAZ is somewhat easier to use than Poser, though I am trying to learn Poser on my own.
The new DAZ program is giving me a problem by not accepting the link to the products to use in the program.
I have used all of the earlier versions of DAZ and haven't had any problems really moving from one version to the next. With version 3, I am having the hardest time to get the program to link to the folders with the models and accessories in. I would really love to be able to create again, but this is making it impossible, and none of the older versions with will. They all ask for the update.
If anyone knows of a FREE online class situation teaching DAZ 3 from the very beginning, feel free to let me know.

Smoother, faster, and more comprehensive than previous versions. Still very friendly to system resources.
tab behavior is slightly different than before, and there's a free vs. paid-for version now. May need OpenGL upgrade on your machine.
Version 3 is a vast improvement on its predecessors in usability, speed, and features. More advanced lighting is included now, and there are a lot of exciting features that operate smoothly. The only cons are the still-present learning curve (though this is common in all CG apps of this class), and there is a niggling behavior with the tool tabs in that they don't stack up as tightly as they used to (this is only a personal nitpick, however). If your version of OpenGL doesn't meet minimums (you can find out via your video card driver documentation), you may have to upgrade your vidcard driver to catch up.
I can't think of anything to like in a product that doesn't work.
Wouldn't download properly on my Intel Mac, Error reading files message. Viewport remains empty even after downloading figures. Default figures not appearing. Can't find any files. Dynamic Clothing not available on Mac. Unfriendly to beginners.
