A Plug In for Adobe Photoshop, Cutline screens are a combination of line/dot screens. A standard line screen represents gray tones in a photo or illustration by varying the thickness of black lines on a white background. However, in the Cutline screen, as lines get thicker, angles cuts appear in the lines, which cause them to break into dots. The result is a wonderful effect that emulates the classic old world engraving and woodcut techniques. This Plug In is a part of the Artistic Screening Tools Collection. Version: Cutline Photoshop Plug-in 1.11

"Gives a decent approximation"

Pros: I was hoping to get an effect like what you might see on wine bottles - a photo transformed into a subtle monotone guilloche effect. It does this pretty well, but when looking upclose at the detail it isn't quite there. However, there aren't very many products like this out there, and cutline did the best job of the other plugins I tried. I especially did like the ability to change the color of the effect within the plugin.

Cons: Would like the detail to more closely emulate guilloche.
