File encryption is the way to go to prevent prying eyes from viewing important documents, but no one wants to mess with a lengthy encryption process. Cryptainer LE Free offers users a quick and easy way to securely encrypt their private data.
The program introduces two separate windows to your desktop at startup. The larger of the two windows walks you through the setup process for creating an encrypted volume. First, you have to browse for and select the location for the volume. Next, the program asks you to enter a label for the container, the volume size (up to 25MB), and a password. Finally, you have to select from two different encryption algorithms (Blowfish448 and AES256). We quickly went through each step to create our encrypted container, which appeared on our desktop. Upon creation, the smaller window expanded to include our encrypted volume. It was there that we were able to drag and drop files for immediate encryption. We were also given the options to view our encrypted files in Windows Explorer, load and unload the files, and encrypt the files to send by email. Each time we tried to access Cryptainer, it successfully prompted us for our password. Creating and sending encrypted files by e-mail was as simple as selecting the file and applying a password. The program gives you the option of creating an encrypted self-extractor so that your recipient can decrypt the file without having to install Cryptainer. The program includes a very lengthy Help file as well as startup tips, so you're covered.
Cryptainer LE Free installs a desktop icon without asking, but cleanly uninstalls. We recommend this program to all users.

Vault can be deleted like any other file.
Summary
I've used Cryptainer (Cypherix LE)for years. The original 25mb was somewhat limiting, but the default size in now 100mb and you can have up to 4 volumes. That should be plenty of space for the average home user - it is for me.
