Designed to assist in the creation of animated characters, this application provides a nice set of tools, despite its less-than-desirable trial limitation. The tabbed interface couldn't be described as elegant, but it will make sense to even novice designers. After selecting from character categories such as fantasy, female, male, and insect, you choose different body parts, such as face, ears, thighs, nose, and fingers, The ability to adjust any body part along its X, Y, and Z parameters helps you further customize your character, and creatures can be viewed in smooth, flat, or wireframe modes. However, the demo not only limits the available body parts, but it also won't let you export your designs. Considering this program's rather steep $295 price tag, prospective buyers may wish for more robust trial functionality. Creature Creator best suits video-game designers and junior animators.

  "Pointless"

  Pros: Well, it's small, fast, easy to use and it doesn't require an installation.

  Cons: I don't really see the target audience for this thing. Professional 3D artists won't bother with it, because of its very limited use and people who just want to get a laugh out of their weird creations will be disappointed by how pathetically awful the results look.

  "This software poses no use..."

  Pros: The only pro that this has...is that it was a small file size and I didn't download a 100+mb file to be this disappointed. Could be usefull if the wire frame and structure editor was placed into an animation studio software for building scenes, sprites, and objects individualy, otherwise in this instance, its a waste.

  Cons: I might be able to see how this could be entertaining to the likes of a 5 or 6 year child...but not to anyone else. The program only allows you to create 3D models with no textures, colors, or clothes/accessories. The background is a solid color and nothing else. Why download a program to make a 3D model of a lady with a giant ant for a face? Waste of time and space, my advice revise your product before trying to sell it, in the long run it will save you alot of trouble and embarrassment..... Silver Winds

  Pros: This is truley a remarkable little program and the ease of use will astonish you. Creating characters has never been so easy.

  Creature Creator definately receives my 5-star rating
