  CNET FALSE ADVERTISING. COUPON BAR BUNDLE VIRUS REDIRECT THAT DOESN'T SHOW UP IN PROGRAM FILES, REVO UNINSTALLER, EXTENSIONS,PLUG INS......KIDNAPS SYSTEM. UNABLE TO REMOVE.

  Spybot continues to report CouponBar as Adware.

  Summary

  I don't print a large number of coupons at home. Over the years I have, without problem, installed/uninstalled CouponBar several times. (I've uninstalled CouponBar only because I forget why I installed it!) Coupons from reputable companies (grocery and drug stores, etc.) continue to require CouponBar in order to print. I do not believe reputable companies would require the installation of a "harmful" program. Therefore, even though reported as Adware, I consider CouponBar to be safe. Maybe I'm naive.

  -None, not one.

  -Adware, before removal I would get pop-ups regularly regardless of me having Adblock Plus. -Impossible for Spybot S&D To remove registry values, I've scanned probably 10 times after clicking 'Fix' and removing the deleted registry values for this and it keeps showing up.

  Summary

  Do NOT download for your safety, you're better off clipping coupons out of your magazines.

  I could not agree more with the users who complained that this software messed up their registry with unremoveable Adware. CNET should be ashamed to have rated this 4 stars and it seems like an oversight. I also (based on the recommendation in a previous review here) downloaded (with trepidation) "Spybot - Search and Destroy" in order to remove it. I was careful with the options that I chose when downloading this removal tool as I did not want it to interfere with my current internet security (Norton 360). I downloaded Spybot S&D and it immediately found 39 entries for CouponBar that were supposedly "uninstalled" (not). Any software that adds adware that does NOT REMOVE ITSELF from your computer when uninstalled is SPAM and unforgiveable. C'mon CNET. Get with the program!

  There is nothing good about this.

  DON'T download this. I always trusted Cnet but with this getting their ok I have to question that now. I got this off with SpyBot. Make sure you update it. Also the it take you off as administrator so you have to go into recovery to get it off.

  I believe this is spyware; since its download strange ads and "your computer might be infected!" pages keep popping up. PLUS - you cannot remove this program by going to add/remove programs. It won't come off.

  I am weary because spybot S&D always tells me it's not supposed to be there.I can't afford to have one of my two daughters or my wife put something on something I've spent years perfecting(but she does it anyway...go figure).Until they can can get together with the spyware removal makers and convince them there product does not belong on their list.They get a two!

  My Zone Alarm anti spyware filter stopped me from accessing this download. I trust Zone Alarm and wouldn't even think of going to a banned site. End of story.
