While this ho-hum, no-frills cooking timer seems to work as promised, you'll be disappointed by its limited scope. Designed to augment a kitchen timer, Cooking Alarm Clock for Desktop PC allows you to set up to six alarms to alert you to add ingredients to your recipes. Although its dull, standard gray interface won't inspire you to create culinary masterpieces, it does give a running count of the time left and you can start all timers at once to make sure your cooking stays on schedule. On the negative side, it only offers one basic alarm sound, the trial only allows a stingy 10-second timer for each ingredient, and you can't minimize this program to the system tray. The negatives outweigh the positives on this timer, so unless you really need notification on when to add ingredients you may want to look elsewhere.Publisher's description
