Version: Convertion Etalon 1.1

"Buggy, unhelpful, and craps out."

Pros: The layout for the main screen is cleanly designed, and it's pretty easy to select the outputs you want.

Cons: The file selector doesn't let you browse by what the file _is_, only by what it's named. Thus, for a DVD, you have to open each file individually and see what's playing.
The help files are anything but helpful.
When you start converting files, the program halts and a popup window appears. The window's text says that the trial version only converts up to 30 minutes at a time, but it doesn't matter even if the file you're converting is shorter than that--it just craps out anyway. And then it urges you to buy the program.

"Not a very good program"

Pros: A nice interface that was easy to use

Cons: I tried converting a .dv file to .avi and then .mpeg2, and on both tries it lost the visual aspect of the video. It also lacks grammar skills.
