This simple program can be used by even the math-challenged to convert any number from one measurement unit to another. Conversion's plain interface offers a pull-down menu to select categories such as time, speed, and distance. The available units of measure are displayed in two panes, one to select the original and one to select the conversion measurement. A simple text box is set to one unit of measure, though you can enter any number you like. By default, results are displayed in whole numbers or mathematical notation, but you can easily deselect the offered Engineering check box to have the actual number displayed with decimal points included. No Help file is included, but one is hardly necessary. This handy freeware tool doesn't require installation and is recommended for anyone who wants a simple and accurate way to convert from one unit of measurement to another.Publisher's description

This software version | All versions -
Version: Conversion 1.01aA
Pros: It is short and concise. Free most of all. You may be able to add your own conversions. There is a category file and a conversion file. The category file lists the category and on which line it begins. The conversion file contains the units of measurement. Most commonly used conversions are included.
Cons: No installer included. File has to be unzipped to a folder and a shortcut created.

Version: Conversion 1.01aA
Cons: When the drop-down box descends, giving you choices of conversion units, it takes up too much space. I finally went with ESBUnitConv, which was easier (for me) to use.
-
