• Good training simulator....Not A Game

  Pros

  Good graphics, Wide variety of planes, helos, and cars to choose from stock, Unlimited updates and many user downloads to add. Good price compared to other simulators that cost hundreds and give you only aircraft or helicopters to use (depending on which package you choose).

  Cons

  Depth of field is not as good as RF (Real Flight), Does not offer flight instructor mode, Does not offer take-off assist trainer or landing assist trainer.

  Summary

  Great training aid for the money. Will help greatly in polishing hand-eye coordination skills before going out to the field to fly your real R/C aircrafts. Does not break the bank in price like the Real flight that cost $170-$200 plus for a R/C simulator!

  Great graphics, Good flight characterstics for the differnt models. Has different models, planes, helios and cars. Many different flying sites and tracks. Well worth the money.

  None found...............This IS NOT a game!! but a teaching tool.

  You are not allowed to try the game before you buy it. I downloaded a black screen with nothing but the ability to buy the game.

  AVOID!!!! TRIAL, INSTALLS IN C ROOT ITSELF, NO UNINSTALL ICON IN THAT FOLDER, UNINSTALL FAILS USING OTHER SOFTWARES, CREATES HUNDREDS OF REGISTRY ENTRY, 100% C2D PROCESSER UTILISATION

  TRIAL DOES NOT WORKS PROPERLY IF YOU HAVE ANTIVIRUS AND LATEST BROWSERS INSTALLED, ALL THESE ACTS FOR A LIMITED TIME TRIAL WITH RESTRICTED LEVELS.

  Customer support is rude. License policy is a huge pain. I've used $1000.00 programs that are more lenient with their license policy. It's plain stupid.

  Summary

  For a $40.00 program the license managment is a bit out of hand. You can only have one pc activated at a time. Any little pc error and the license is lost and there is a whole process to go through to get the program running again. You must get a code from the software then go to the website...then wait for an email for your new special code..great googly moogly!! And BEWARE..unlike a Flight Sim CD you would buy from other brands, ClearView will not allow you to transfer or sell the license....ever! Better make sure you like it before you buy it because your stuck after you download it and lay down the money. This is basic software and it gets repetitious quick.

  Program work nice when working.

  Cons

  Any changes to your operating system seems to loose license keys. Then you have to contact tech support and jump through hoops. Happened three times in three months. I would not purchase this program if I had to do it over.

  Summary

  I would not purchase this program if I had to do it over. The program is good value when it works. But the way it works with its license set-up is not compatible with someone who uses their computer to do other than say word processing. Any system changes seems to loose the licensing key and put the program in demo mode with no time left. Tech support is responsive and friendly but who want to jump through tech support hoops multiple times to get the program back running. It is a shame because the program is nice for the cost if it wasnt for the licensing set-up. I would not purchase this program if I had to do it over.

• Exactly what I was looking for!!

  Pros

  It matches very well with the plane I am just learning to fly. I recently started trough some friends and this software is just what i needed to get me going with the right habits and skills.

  Cons

  I only wish I could have purchased my own controller so it could be connected to the laptop when running the software. That should immensely increase the benefits of the program.

  Summary

  I'm no expert, in fact I'm a beginner in every sense of the word. Although I have been watching for several months, I just had my first hands on experience last Saturday. It was a very big moment for me and my nerves were on edge. When I am using the software it allows me to learn without too much pressure and even to review the many mistakes I make. I still have much to learn and need many more hours of practice to develop the minimum skills to fly the real planes without breaking the bank. Granted the pass-time is not real expensive, but crashes can begin to count up rather quickly. Most of all, the software affords me the opportunity to be a bit bolder, to press the envelope a little closer and really see what happens. Like I said before, as soon as I can afford a controller I will be hooking that bad boy up and getting the maximum benefit from the software. Truthfully, there are not too many hobbies or pass-times I can attempt because of my disabilities. But from a wheelchair it doesn't matter as along as you get the skill level needed and practice. Thank you so much from my whole heart for giving me this chance to do something so much fun. It truly has already made a difference in my life. Thank you again and keep doing it right !!

• Excellent RC Heli Simulator

  Pros

  This is an extremely well done RC simulator, fun to use even if you don't even own an RC aircraft. There are excellent free versions of heli sims out there, but this is well worth the $40 bucks and support is excellent. Photo-realistic visuals.

  Cons

  Multi-player still needs a bit of work, but for learning to fly an RC heli, there's no better way to get your flight hours in. Doesn't take a hugely powerful machine to render the photo-realistic scenery.

  Summary

  I needed a flight sim for practicing so I didn't kill my RC heli, used a $20 radio simulator called E-sky 0905A which is a USB radio simulator control, which works beautifully with Clearview. If you're looking to learn how to fly an RC heli, I can't see going any other way than with Clearview.
