Although you can easily find free chess sims if you look hard enough, this program has a few nice things going for it. One thing we like is that Chess Nx's AI seems to be quite strong--we found it tough to hold our own even against a medium-level opponent. Less-skilled or more seasoned players can choose from five difficulty levels. The game isn't graphically intense, but you can at least change the color of the board with a few skins. The sound effects are about what you'd expect and can be disabled if they meddle with your concentration. The 15-credit trial should be enough to decide whether Chess Nx is worth buying, particularly since you can play multiple games and not expend a use until you close the program. This game breaks no new ground, but midlevel chess players will find it delivers the goods.Publisher's description

"good game but uses alot of system resources"
Pros: it is a challenging chess game took a while to remember what the computer was going to do to beat it
Cons: uses alot of system resources and computer makes same moves.. seems like computer just takes longer to move when on more diffucult levels

Version: Chess Nx 6
Pros: It does look good but..........
Cons: This Prog lacks in functionality, such as repetitive moves. Can be mated in 7 moves etc. I have tried them all and I still rather play a Person. I don't wish to pay 50 bucks a year for WCN or ICC to do so. SO I went with ChessRally. Graphics? are better I think and is more personal. Option to play the computer or a Real person. And best of all you can chat with them all. They even have Tutors that help the new players with logical ways to start to learn chess. And is only 20 bucks for life. I think every one looks for the need to make friends at a chess site and here it happens. I don?t need another Prog; I want to challenge my knowledge on a person, not a machine or another prog.

3) N-c3 D5-D6
4) B-b5

Version: Chess Nx 6
"Chess Nx is an "average" program, and is suitable for anyone."
Pros: Has five different levels: novice, middle, normal, difficult, and advance.
Distinctive voice that announces check, and checkmate. Allows you to take back your moves.
Cons: Always play the same moves.
No record of your past games.
Cost $17.00 is quite expensive.
It always promotes pawn to a queen.
better programs are available for a better price.
