CNET Editors' review
This game is a more or less traditional quest, with exercises for developing management skills along the way. In Charm School, you take the role of a wizard training three girls in magic spells, wizardry, and spirituality. Though the girls are willing to work and obey, they are still kids. You have to maintain their stamina and happiness levels to make them continue studies and not die or run away. Each game-month, you choose a girl and a mission in which she can earn gold for her schooling. One of the girls excels at fighting, another is smart, and the third makes good spells and potions. Missions include a dungeon quest, a strangely challenging bug hunt, and being a waitress in the school's cafe. The registered version adds a rabbit-run mission and, more importantly, allows you to save your progress. The graphics of the game are primitive but cute, as is the MIDI-quality medieval-inspired soundtrack. Young children may enjoy Charm School's simple controls and achievable goals.Publisher's Description
From Hanako Games:
This is a simulation/RPG game wherein you run a school for magic and train three girls to be adventurers. Gameplay is a cross between Zelda and Princess Maker. You select class schedules to raise the girls' skills, then send them into dungeons or arcade minigames to earn gold. Each girl has more than 20 unique career endings depending on her performance throughout the school year.

"I didn't really like this game."
Version: Charm School 1.22
Cons
It was a little confusing to figure out how to play, and just when you do start to figure it out, it cuts you off. Graphics aren't that great either.

"OK. Enough"
Version: Charm School 1.22
Pros
The graphics looks good.
Cons
The game was created with Game Maker , and you are really getting bored after playing for 10 minutes.

"Nothing to it"
Version: Charm School 1.22
Pros
A cute game. It might be good for young children, but they must be good readers, since the only way you know what is going on is by reading. At the end of the demo, the characters try to guilt trip you into buying the full version. A child may be racked with guilt for leaving the pixellated girls halfway through their school year after you refuse to buy this ridiculous game.
Cons
This game is much too simple for any adult of normal intelligence to find very entertaining. You go through several simple stages involving very simple tasks to achieve a not-very rewarding outcome.

-
"Very average"
Version: Charm School 1.22
Summary
Well, the demo interested me enough to buy it... big mistake. The demo is actually half of the entire thing, and the paid for half just isn't worth it. There are no extra features, the game play is painfully slow, and since you only have 12 "months" to teach your students, none of them get very far. Don't bother!
