Bonzai3d for Mac

What's new in this version: While this is mainly a maintenance update, it does add a few important additions such as support for Maxwell Render, and the Polish localization. b3d is now available in 9 languages and 2 additional are in the works: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Czech, Polish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, with Russian and Portuguese coming soon.

  "An excellent rapid prototyping 3d modeler."

  Version: Bonzai3d 2.2

  Pros

  Fluid interface, Nurbs tools, solid modeling, and clean geometry. There are tools in bonzai3d that once you've used, you dont know how you lived without them.

  Cons

  As with any new software there are bugs that need to be addressed. As the software progresses I find fewer and fewer, that being said it's still my goto modeler.

  Summary

  There are several tools in bonzai3d that are worth mentioning. The reshape tool that utilizes real time booleans is probably my favorite. There are tons of specialty tools that allow you to access content from 3d Warehouse, create stairs and roofs at a click of a button, nurbs functionality that almost rivals Rhino, hours of video tutorials, rendering capabilities, etc. What is most impressive is how easy it is to get up and running, its user friendly interface makes construction of very complex models a breeze. It also comes with its own library of materials, window and door components (that you can create yourself if you like) and offers extensive import/export capabilities. Overall I think that this modeler is revolutionary to the design process and don't know how I ever lived without it.
