So maybe you're a cat person, but you're tired of those cute kitten pictures on your desktop. This screensaver offers a different extreme, displaying several dozen images of wild felines such as lions, tigers, and cheetahs in their natural environment. Close-ups give a sense of the wily personalities behind the fierce faces, and a soundtrack plays periodic roaring in the background. Users are given few options, with only the ability to mute the background sounds and select between transition effects. We would like to see more, including obvious features such as setting how often images are changed. The trial version allows free access to the first 15 pictures. All in all, while the images are unlikely to win any awards for creative photography, the screensaver as a whole may well appeal to nature lovers and other admirers of the feline form.
