Publisher's Description
From LA SofStuf:
BerBible is simplified Bible freeware that includes the complete ESV, NASB, and NKJV Bibles at no cost. The learning curve is all but trivial because only the essential functions are implemented: go-to verse reference and search for word(s). Searching is extremely fast, intuitive, and very flexible. On most computers, BerBible is running immediately after you launch it, and searching is as fast as you can type.
BerBible also works great on obsolete computers that are too slow for software oriented to Bible scholars. It doesn't assume a high resolution monitor and latest hardware. Its small download size is optimized for people with a slow, unreliable, and/or expensive Internet connection. BerBible includes extensive documentation oriented to people with relatively minimal computer experience, including tutorials, context sensitive help, and animated slideshows.
What's new in this version:
- Improved user interface by integrating BerBible and SwordBible. Includes ESV, GW, KJV, NET, NASB, and NKJV.

Not as many resources as other software, but this is changing.
Summary
Its fast, easy and doesn't chew up all your computer resources to run.

"Incredible product that contains the NASB, ESV & NKJV."
Version: BerBible 2.50.0
Pros
The BerBible's synchronization tool allows me to quickly compare verses in the NKJV with the same verses in the NASB and ESV.
Cons
This is a free bible software program that includes the NASB, the ESV, and the NKJV. There are no cons.

"Wouldn't open to be used"
Version: BerBible 2.50.0
Pros
None.........
Cons
Wouldn't open on my computer
Summary
It downloaded a "downloads.php" to my program files but told me I had to use some program of my choice to open it. It tried using AbiWord (it needed a program that displays text files) but got garbage.
Sorry, it just doesn't work on WindowsXP. -
"Good Tool, But Has Limitations"
Version: BerBible 2.50.0
Pros
Utterly amazing that the NASB, NKJ, and ESV come free with this program !
Cons
Interface could use improvement for search capability (SEE: Below).
Summary
Absolutely fantastic that the NASB, NKJ, and ESV Bible versions are included in a ~freeware~ program !
Interface is mostly ok, yet could be more visually appealing. Main thing, however, the search delimiters (restricting searches to a specific section of the Scriptures) has been buried in the ribbon bar under "Find Options" > "Range". This extremely important feature needs to be in plain view and next to the search bar. The drop-down list of previous searches is a good thing, though.
The application starts up far faster than e-Sword. Unlike e-Sword, with the BereanBible you don't have to pay to get the NASB, NKJ, and ESV. [ But e-Sword has several additional translations (NRSV, NLT, CSB) available for purchase, and several others
not included in the BereanBible (e.g., TM, JSP, Vulgate) available free. ]
Most importantly, the BereanBible has no Strong's concordance. A crucial omission for any serious Bible exegesis ! Strong's -used as a lexicon rather than a concordance- is essential for programs like this. ( Or, at least, ~some~ Greek and Hebrew lexicon sync'ed to each word in the Scriptural text. ) -
"Great Bible tool...I love it!!"
Version: BerBible 2.50.0
Pros
I like the ability to type in a keyword and find the scripture for it. It's also very easy to read (in big print).
Cons
My only problem, is the lack of other translations (such as the original KJV-King James Version, the Living Version, or Amplified Version)
Summary
A great biblical resource and very quick too. It takes a bit of getting use too, but it will really be a great help to all those who need and use it!! Great job, and I can't wait to see what's next!!
I found the most recent download (which is on the website as "bundle") and found the rest of the Bible Translations on it. Please ignore the cons...this product is simply a "Must-Have" for Bible Scholars and readers alike. Don't just take my word for it...try it for yourself!!
