Batch DOCX To DOC Converter provides an impressively simple way to convert Word files. Its setup ensures that users of all skill level will find success.
At first, we needed to visit the program's Help file, as its interface was almost too basic. Its layout has very few command icons and, after reading the help file, it only took a few minutes to master. We quickly grew to appreciate the program's lack of diversions and have confidence that users of any skill level would feel equally comfortable. Batch DOCX To DOC Converter allowed us to choose single files, multiple files, or entire folders with equal ease by surfing through its file tree. All our chosen files were listed with their file location and type on the main screen. Our .doc files were then quickly converted to the newer .docx format and vice versa. We were pleased to find the files appeared in the appropriate destination with all their data intact. The program's best feature was its search engine, which helped track down files the locations of which we didn't know exactly. Overall, this amazingly simple program provided a precise function and did it very well.
Batch DOCX To DOC Converter has a 7-day trial. While we were initially concerned about its interface, this simple program won us over and we recommend it.

Good for nothing
Cons
Installation requires internet access, else it hangs. Each conversion from docx to doc requires internet access. This software hijacks default internet browser's start-up page, installs blekko as default search engine without warning. These changes won't vanish even after uninstalling this stupid software. The software is less accurate and many times give error. I wonder how come this software exists in download.com

If you were going to pay $150, you might as well just buy microsoft office 2010 and let Office convert them for you - that was you also get the office package.

I tried converting only 2 docx, and it failed. No pros. CNet sucks.

I tried converting a docx file as I don't have Word2k7 on my PC. But this sw failed to create a valid .doc file- when I opened on MS Word 2002, it shows "PK" as first 2 chars and then all boxes (junk). Same results with another docx. Wasted my time.

I tried 2 docx to doc conversion, It failed for both! Iit shows junk when opened with Word 2k2 version.
When I downloaded OpenOffice, it opened could successfully open the docx files . I wonder how could it get good ranking in Editor's choice?? -

Does exactly what it should with many features!
Cons
Very expensive. I bargained with batchwork to try to lower the price of the personal edition, and they settled to activate the product with trialpay. That allowed me to get the software free if i bought a $10 trial.

I can only imagine that the rating is so low because of the price.
