CNET Editors' review
This simple screensaver is designed to entertain young kids by displaying images, sounds, and letters, but some useful options are left out.
Baby Screen Saver's plain interface takes over the computer screen and changes the background color with keystrokes followed by letters, random images, and sounds. We were able to set a keyword to deactivate the program, though it isn't case-sensitive. Easily scale pictures and font sizes on the configuration panel to suit your tastes and display your own images by browsing and selecting the directory.
We would have liked for the screensaver to automatically launch after a designated period of inactivity just as other screensavers do, but that isn't an option. The five-day trial is too short for our tastes and the 22MB download size is a potential turnoff. All in all, Baby Screen Saver can entertain your little ones while keeping your important information out of harm's way.
Publisher's Description
From TrevBoyd:
The Baby Screen Saver provides a safe environment for your baby to play, and keeps them entertained with bright colors, pictures, and sounds. The Baby Screen Saver responds to key presses and mouse clicks, each time either displaying a moving picture, bright letter, or playing a sound. You can configure a word that must be typed to exit the screensaver.
