This is your punishment for not fitting in, for speaking out against the powers that be, for being an inconvenience to the cruel government of Emperor Hawthorne. You have been sentenced to life imprisonment in these caverns, forgotten and unmourned. Avernum features 3D graphics, 16-bit color, 80 towns and dungeon levels.

This isn't a pure fight game like diablo. It is a fight/think hybrid. The game really rocks. I have allready downloaded avenum 2 and that's even better. Please download , you won't be dissapointed

Avernum runs well on older machines. Graphics are simple, but still fun. Turn based RPG. Lots of sub-plots. Plenty of loot. You will need to keep paper notes even though there are decent auto-map and game notes built in. It's a huge adictive game.
