Publisher's Description
From Spiderweb Software:
Avernum 3 is an epic fantasy role-playing game, featuring a huge world, multitudes of puzzles and quests, hundreds of towns and dungeons, and a fascinating storyline. It has a dynamic world, which changes according to the actions of the player. Refugees move from town to town. People die. If nothing is done, cities will crumble into dust. Avernum 3 is a massive and open-ended game. You can save the world or work as a merchant. You can buy a house or go on one of many side adventures. You can hurry to save the cities, or sit back and watch them crumble. Whatever you choose, Avernum 3 promises a massive and engaging adventure, which will gladly absorb all the hours you can spare. Experience with Avernum or Avernum 2 is completely unnecessary to enjoy Avernum 3.

"The lack of graphics in no way destroys the intrigue of the game."
Version: Avernum 3 1.0
Pros
The game gives you many different options. You can choose your route of travel and the people who travel with you. Your band of travellers increases in exp as you fight to defend towns or destroy enemy lairs. The game has many different ways to play and each decision you make will directly impact what happens somewhere in the game.
Cons
The people move around the board, but the people themselves do not move. The game is also repetative at times. It takes a while to move about the world.

"A great RPG if you have time and can overlook the graphics"
Version: Avernum 3 1.0
Summary
If you can overlook Avernum 3's lack of decent graphics or sound, you will find it to be a great Role Playing Game that puts you in the place of adventurers who are trying to save the mythical continent Valorim. Of course, that's no small task, and it will take quite a long time. If you have that time, you can explore a huge world with hundreds of characters, fight battles against Ogres, Goblins, lizards, cats, slimes, and other creatures, and watch as your party becomes virtually indestructible with powerful weapons, spells, and armor you purchase. The interface needs some improvement, there are few sounds and the graphics are worse than SNES, but the imaginative and interesting plot and storyline make up for it.

"Fun"
Version: Avernum 3 1.0
Summary
mathboy09 this is about Avernum 3 not your little point gaining sceme at outwar.com its not real people hes just powering up his chareter whenever you go to his link. Hes proberly posting it everywere claiming it is somthing els :eyeroll:
Anyway Avernum is a fun game if you get around its lousy grafics, im not gainst bad grafics i still play oldies but its the motionless way they move around i find irritating so if you get around that there is some fun to be found in this game. I liked the tiger and lizard race its not very often you find a game that is willing to have those races but not dwarths or elfs. Although the demo is a good time waster i wouldnt buy a game of this quality, perhaps if they up the grafics a bit lets say to a snes style a least then ide concider it. -

"not wotrh downloading"
Version: Avernum 3 1.0
Summary
This game has excellent graphics and sound and is highly stable, but the playability STINKS. The character editor is half baked like the half brains Spiderweb Software has, and is broken. There is also an invisible barrier that Spiderweb made just to repulse adventurers.
