Auto Shutdown Genius provides users with an innovative way to monitor and control the hows and whens of computer shutdowns. This program offers a wide selection of choices that can help customize every user's system.

This program has a very scientific-looking interface. The CPU usage monitor, similar to a heart monitor in a hospital, instantly jumps off the screen. A spiking green line shows a real-time reading of what percentage of the hard drive is being used. Above this area is a list of commands users have operating with the Auto Shutdown Genius, as well as a table of commands above that.

Setting up this program is simple and surprisingly flexible. The key to operating your shutdown is the Task button. Here you can customize every aspect of this program. Users are given a choice between shutting the computer down daily, weekly, monthly, once, when idle, or when usage hits a certain point. From there, users can set the specific times each day or point of usage that trips the task. Tasks range from shutting down, restarting, logging out, hibernating, going to standby, turning monitor off, locking work station, or starting screensaver.

Light,Functional and Effective. (Not at all Bloated) Quickly get's the feel of this program. Work's well with Win7.
Cons
I wish it could have the option of turning off the CPU usage window. Its really not required ,i mean what purpose does it serve if that thing can be fulfilled by the Windows Task Manager.

This is the best functional AutoShutdown program i have ever used, i have tried few other's hosted in this website as well few other's which i came across the net while searching. But i must say: this is the best of them all. Light,Functional and Effective. (Not at all Bloated) Quickly get's the feel of this program. Work's well with Win7. I like the overall design and size of the Window size and user interface. Its really what it should be for a program it was made for. Small, Dainty and Functional.

It does what it says it will do, I will say that. Written fairly well in that it has no conflicts with Windows 7 Home Premium. It installed and uninstalled cleanly so that's a plus. All of the options written work as well.
Cons
If you're looking for this program to just shutdown your PC after a given amount of time, it will certainly do that. However, whether you are using the computer or not it will shutdown on you after the time you set has elapsed, period. Idle or not.
Summary
The knowledge base FAQ is pretty much non-existent on the vendors website. The only help you'll get there is how to install it, run it and uninstall it. As far as the company's claim that it will run on Vista and Win7 is a thin claim. I contacted the vendor with the "idle" issue I mentioned previously and was told, and I quote, "We cannot fix that on Vista and Win7."

At the moment i have used the trial version and very happy with the service. I am looking forward to buy it now. Because I do go away after keeping alot of downloading active so I wanted some application which logs me off after all the tasks finishes and Auto shutdown genius is fulfilling my requirments.
