Ashampoo Slideshow Studio HD is an intuitive program that allows users to create attractive, multimedia slideshows. Although nothing about it is particularly amazing, it's a good choice for users who want to create nice-looking slideshows without going to too much trouble.
The program's interface is intuitive, with several different easy-to-use sections. In one section users select the images they want to include in the slideshow, in another they can select a theme--birthday, breaking news, etc.--that will frame each image, in a third they can edit captions and other text, and in the fourth, a preview of the slideshow can be viewed. Users can select the transition effects that are used between each of the images or allow the program to select them randomly, and music can be added to the presentations as well. Once users are satisfied with the slideshow's appearance and audio, it can be processed into several different formats, including MPG, AVI, and WMV. A built-in Help file is fairly well-written and does a good job of explaining how the program works. Overall, although there was nothing particularly outstanding about it, we liked Ashampoo Slideshow Studio HD because it was easy to use and produced an attractive slideshow. It's not the best of the best, but it will meet the needs of most users.
Ashampoo Slideshow Studio HD has a 10-day trial period, and the trial version places a watermark on the program's output. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

With its easy point-and-click interface and ready-to-use themes you can create great auto-playing slideshows with music and terrific animated transitions in a snap. However, the real innovation is the output formats: You can't just burn your slideshows to DVDs that will play on any home DVD player. You can also generate HD (high-definition) slideshows that you can upload to YouTube and MyVideo, or as MPEG2, MPEG4 or Windows Media video files that will play on pretty much any computer available. And since the slideshows are saved in a single file sharing them couldn't be easier.

"EXCELLENT!, EASY To use, Rapid results."
Pros: From my brief play with it I produced a slideshow of my granddaughter that I am proud to show because it looks proffessional
Cons: Slightly tricky to use at first but with practice should be quite easy/

Pros: So far it looks like it will do what I want as far as make and send CD's made up with pictures to family members.
Cons: I think a Good Help section included would be a nice touch!
