Billed as "an all-in-one application for organizing, editing, sharing, and presenting photo collections," Ashampoo Photo Commander makes some big promises. Ultimately it delivers, but this isn't a program for the casual user.
The interface struggles to present the various (and numerous) options. It's overwhelming at first, and with so much going on, the black background makes it a little difficult to read. "How-to" pop up windows were a welcome sight, and they helped us get our bearings. Presentation issues aside, the program really proved its stuff in action. Photos are easily imported and scanned into the program. There are tons of options for adding effects and manipulating photo images, and even with a generous 40-day trial period, you won't be able to explore them all fully. We were impressed that when a specific image is selected, it appears with pixel, color depth, dpi, and memory information also displayed. We were able to easily turn image galleries into slide shows and burn them onto a CD. You can even add new images to your collection with the program's screen capture tool, an extra we appreciated.
Along with the wizard-like how-to guides, the program also offers a comprehensive Help file. Even with the extensive user guidance, the interface will likely make novice users shy away. For more experienced users willing to spend time mastering the busy interface, the program offers a very effective set of photo management tools.

"Fantastisk godt billedbehandlingsprogram til små penge"
Pros: Et fantastisk godt billedbehandlingsprogram til små penge, fuldt på højde med de dyre programmer på markedet, det nemt at bruge og med dansk sprog så alle kan være med, også nybegyndere som mig selv
Cons: Har endnu ikke fundet noget jeg ikke syntes om, det skulle da lige være at man ikke kan finde en dansk brugermanual til programmet, det ville være rigtig rart mig som nybegynder i billedbehandling
Summary: Der er masser af funktioner, har endnu kun udforsket en lille del af dem, men jeg tror at der er betydlig flere funktioner end jeg nogensinde får lært at bruge

Pros: Esta muy completo, pueden ser reproducidos muchos formatos de video. muy buen editor de fotografias, puedes realizar collage y arreglos a tus fotografias, presentaciones fotograficas, muy bueno en general. Lo recomiendo.
Cons: Me gustaria que reprodijera todos los formatos de musica y video, ya que en algunos no es posible sean reproducidos. Arreglando esto estaria fabuloso¡¡¡

Pros: Funzionalità buona,intuitivo e ordinato,andrà a sostituire un altro programma che per me era troppo complesso e con troppe opzioni delle quali non avevo bisogno.
Cons: In complesso fino ad adesso non ho trovato nulla che non mi piacesse.

Pros: Intuitave interface. Easy to use without needing to keep opening the help file. Using it on Windows 7 and it is incredibly fast. So many features but all the ones I needed were easily found. Integrated with my other hardware and software seemlessly.
Cons: First installation caused hangup when I tried to scan an image with my Canon scanner, but after recovering and re-installing it worked faultlessly.
Summary: Too many features to assess the entire package but I'm sure anything I need or want is available. The only negative I can think of is that with so many windows opened in the browse screen it would be difficult to see detail without a large screen, ... read more >>
