ArsClip gives you a much more powerful clipboard than the default in Windows. It adds so many bonus features that you might not even know where to begin. It's a fantastic download for anyone who frequently cuts and pastes chunks of text.

ArsClip monitors anything you copy and keeps track of it in a new clipboard so you have more control over it. It even keeps detailed histories and archives of everything you've copied or pasted, if you want. You can access the program with just a keystroke, and it shows you all of your most recent items. The program's menu is really where the program will impress you, though. There are plenty of options and bonus settings to completely control what you do with your text. You can set different menu options for every program and set all sorts of new keystrokes for custom actions. You can even change the colors, layout, and appearance of all of the menus in the program. The download includes about 12 different menus that let you change what the program can do with your clipped files. Since this is a portable program, you can take it with you and use on any computer.

If you've ever wanted more from Windows' clipboard, then this is the way to get it. ArsClip offers tons of ways to customize how and what you paste so you may spend some time just figuring out everything it can do. Once you see what it's capable of, though, you'll want to add this one to your toolbox.

Pros
A powerful, smart clipboard. I've used this for a few years now, and couldn't think of not having it. It's good to see that the publisher is continuing to make updates for it.
Cons
I updated to the current version and moved my permanent clips folder to the new version-- but they aren't showing up. Luckily, there were only 10 or so clips. I can still run the old version until I figure this out.
Summary
If you are having a hard time with extras being installed, it's your own fault. The zip file is clean. Another great feature: the program itself is portable, just drag a copy of the folder to a flash drive.

I tried the CNET downloader. It tries to install a bunch of crap you don't want. If you don't know how to stop it, it will screw up your browser(s) with TOOLBARS you really don't want. I tried the direct download link. The zip file wouldn't install properly.... Pure CRAP!

Pros
The best thing about Arsclip is that you no longer have to rely on browser add-ons for retrieving lost data, as this is very flexible and adaptable.

Awesome simple multiple clip clip board manager! Simply press the shortcut to display the list of clips. If you can copy it, then you can save it to the list. ArsClip allows groups of quick paste so you can remember passwords, common commands/ phrases/ response.
Cons
None! I've tried several other similar programs; unfortunately, not one is as good as this free program.
Summary
ArsClip is the best clip board manager. It's very easy to use. It's also free!

Lightweight, easy to use and to setup. I am addicted to this software.

The only problem is that I could not find an option to open it with windows start-up. I had to add the shortcut to my startup menu folder.

Works well for what it's made for, has a simple interface once you get used to it, customizable pasting hotkeys

takes some time to get used to, doesn't do a good job of explaining how things work

Ultimately it works, and works well for those who need this kind of application. It also works well as a "semi-autofill" with customizable hotkeys. The simulate typing feature is very useful for certain applications as well. I would suggest this to anyone who has the need to be able to type something faster than they can by hand.

ArsClip is a utility for the Windows clipboard. ArsClip monitors the clipboard and keeps track of the entries. Press a configurable hotkey and select an item (or items) to quickly paste into a program. ArsClip used to be barebonez, but I think I can safely say that it has become a nicely featured program (due to user requests for changes). ArsClip remembers the last 15 (default) text entries entered into the Window's clipboard. Delphi 6 (Personal) source code is included - modify it freely for any non-profit use.
