Publisher's Description
From AquaFold:
Aqua Data Studio is a database developer's complete Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The IDE provides three major areas of functionality: A) Database query and administration tool, B) a Suite of compare tools for databases, source control and filesystems and C) a complete and integrated source control client for Subversion (SVN) and CVS.
- Database IDE: The database query and administration tools allow developers to easily create, edit, and execute SQL scripts, as well as browse and visually modify database structures. Aqua Data Studio provides an integrated database environment with a single consistent interface to all major relational databases. This allows the database administrator or developer to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously from one application.
- Compare Tools: The suite of compare tools allows the user to easily view the differences of RDBMS servers, databases and schemas for database tasks. The tools also allow the user to view the differences of files, directory structures, source control files and full revisions.
- Version Control: The version control client provides a complete client to Subversion and CVS repositories, allowing the user to easily manage all source control repositories within one easy to use IDE, via the Repository Browser.

"This is an awesome program"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 8.0.13
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have used this program for a long time.
If you work with a variety of databases this tool is the hands down best tool.
FULL Featured, and I mean feature packed. If you are a database developer or DBA you will quickly LOVE this tool.
Support for this app is the BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. I have seen bug fix or feature builds in literally ONE DAY sometimes.
This app is one of my top 5 best apps of any type ever in any category. It is in my "Dude, check out this app" list.
I know this review is gushing, but when I saw the other lame reviews here I wanted any pro that sees this app to know that it is awesome, and a bargain.
If you are looking for some freeware app to plunk around in mySQL, this app is NOT for you. -
"$400 for a simple SQL query tool? WOW!"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 7.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Well, the 6.x version was free, and 7.5 is $400 for 1 license, even though it's pretty much the same as 6.x. It's a fairly simple SQL query tool - there are plenty a lot more complex tools out there for Windows, for example, which are _free_. There aren't as many for Mac OS X, unfortunately, but that definitely does not justify the price tag.
The 7.5 suffers from most of the same issues as the 6.5: it's fat and slow (as you'd expect from a Java app), and many of the standard Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts do not work (close window for example). Beyond that - it's just a SQL query tool. And it's about 10 times more expensive than it should be. -

"Solid"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 6.5.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using the various iterations of this product for a while now and am very happy with it. I only use it to access, query and edit a MS SQL database, and it has all the tools that I need to run queries, create and edit existing tables, queries and stored procedures. The 'Javaness' of it is a little disconcerting at first, but I got used to it... it just works, which of course is the final test. As an aside, I use it only from a remote workstation over VPN to our data server on our office network. -
"Very Nice"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 4.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is quite a robust application. It does not "feel" quite right, but the functionality is really mature. I sure hope to see more development on this and some refinements in the interface. Very good choice. -
"Excellent So Far"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 4.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have only tested this for a few days but it really looks solid. I can't believe that it's free for personal use but at the same time I applaud AquaFold for providing this to the Mac community.
Working with SQL databases on OSX is much harder than either Windows or Linux. Not because of the OS itself, but rather the lack of decent "free" tools.
Let's hope that AquaFold is able to maintain this option in the future by having enough free users convert to paying customers. -
"Very Good"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 3.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using this for about a month and am really impressed with it. For being a free app, it's unbelievably well-featured. A free tool that allows you to access SQL Server stored procedures and triggers is pretty awesome. My two biggest requests would be auto retrieving of records without having to write a query by double clicking on a table and a way to edit and insert records without writing a sql statement. -
"Good Stuff!"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 3.5
Summary

This is by far the easiest and most stable SQL management tool i've used on the Mac. Works great with my MS SQL Server 2000 database. -
"WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 3.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Absolutely incredible. Wow. Extremely feature-rich, easy to use... rivals any other program out there... and surpasses in almost every area. I wish that ctrl+mouse click brought up contextual menus instead of command+mouse click. Otherwise, very stable accessing MS-SQL 7SP3a, MS-SQL 2000, Oracle 8.0.5.1.0, MySQL 3 and 4 so far...
And I love the ability to access stored procedures and triggers too! -
"A great piece of software"
Version: Aqua Data Studio 3.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a great piece of software, it works fine on my machine. Very feature rich rivals the pay software out there and it's FREE. To: DodgeNeonRT maybe you should hire a DBA or pick up some basic SQL (RTFM). I use Aqua Data Studio with PostgreSQL works like a charm for providing the user with easy access to their database no more listing tables from the prompt it's all there in one interface. Did I mention it's FREE?
