What's new in this version: Added a syntax highlighting type "ABEL-HDL". Supports a new block comments end type "LINE_END" in the syntax highlighting file. Bug fixed: "PREFIX" symbol is listed on the syntax color list.

"Just what I need"

Pros
Love the new 140 character ruler at the top - how did you know I use it for twitter? AptEdit Lite has way more functionality than I need - but everything I want and it gets better with each update!

I cannot think of a thing.

All I wanted to do was open a binary file, search for a specific hex value and replace it with another specific hex value. Although there is a "replace" option in the dropdown menu, it's greyed out. I have yet to figure out how to activate it.
Summary
While this does appear to be a free program, the only conclusion I can come to is that the functionality of it has been crippled.
