From Mark Townshend :Apophysis is a freeware Windows program for designing and rendering fractal flames. It was created by Mark Townsend and has since been improved and updated by Peter Sdobnov, Piotr Borys and Ronald Hordijk. Fractal Flames were originally developed in 1992 by Scott Draves.
This beta version of Apophysis 2.08 allows for the use of 3D plugins.

"No coherent product instructions!"
Pros: In theory I know this software works because I've seen artist's samples.
Cons: WHY...why...is there not a instructional manual, primer...whatever...for this product. Send me one please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Version: Apophysis 2.08 beta "3D hack"
Pros: The more you experiment, the more you can come up with.
Cons: Rendering takes a long time and a lot of memory.
Summary: If you have the time and the patience, you can create some stunning effects--best of all, it's unique every time!
