Animoids 3D Movie Maker provides a shortcut into the complex world of 3D character modeling, with a set of starter models, textures, movie sets, and scenes that can be combined to form the foundation of an animated video.

The basic figure created through this piecework process can be controlled by mouse clicks, and given motion and personality. Different pieces of the body can be duplicated and reattached to form unique characters. We found a few quirks in the animation templates--the female figure looks much younger than the male counterpart, for example.

The program takes some time and study to master, with an extraordinarily broad set of features, and a minimal help file. Nevertheless, we would highly recommend it to beginners in the complicated field of computer animation.

It will not uninstall from my computer. I go to control panel and click on the program name, click uninstall and it just sits there saying that it's preparing to uninstall. This program is a piece of JUNK! Don't be a loser like I was and try this program, you'll never get it off your computer. I'm going to find someone to complain to...BIG TIME!

I liked the animation creations,

but lost portal to how other animations were created and presented for viewing. Lost pattern of expected moves to activate or move the animation object. On trying to move objects arms and legs, found the movement was floppy and moved more than I intended in a different direction than I intended. ni (animation artist student)

It's easy to cut and paste between models, use easy tools for stretching, shaping, coloring or texturing your model, or work at the most detailed level by editing individual node points.

Building a 3D movie is hard work--see if you've got what it takes. Features: more undo/redo control; improved transform options; improved reliability with Windows Me. Version 2.2.10 DL is a minor upgrade that fixes a potential bug related to software expiration.
