This simple, effective program lets a user change the transparency level of her or his taskbar. However, a more effective feature is already housed within Windows.AlphaXP Lite resides in the system tray and is accessed by right-clicking the icon, allowing you to set keyboard shortcuts, toggle taskbar transparency, and change the program's settings. Users also can set the program to start with Windows. AlphaXP Lite's transparency function works great, and the very handy hot keys make changing and removing transparency levels easy, even for first-time users.
A similar feature that hides the taskbar is already included within any copy of Windows XP. Yet any user can have confidence in trying this freeware, as it works quietly in the background without disturbing you.

Pros: 1. its easy to install.
2. easy to use.

(note: if you using vita right on the installer click and and choose "properties" then choose the "compatibility" Tab from there choose run in compatibility mode for "winxp sevice pak 2"
Cons: other than compatibility issues with vista its great

Pros: neat...for a toy
Cons: quickly becomes annoying, especially with a busy wallpaper (like mine). go for it if your background won't interfere with transparent icons and such.

Cons: "Start minimized" still open window at startup: annoying to have to minimize.
