I have used this program for a few years without any issues except as read below:- At this time I just have the pro edition on one computer but have bought the 3 computer package, I have thought it to be pretty good, seems light on the memory and I thought I was getting some benefit as it seems to do a lot....
Up till now the only "Repetitive" issue I have had with this is an error called 459.. it just cannot find it, that is ASC cannot find it,, I have asked the company about it but they have never really helped and have not given me a reason for it, to be honest as I do not know what it is and my computer works ok I just forget about it.
I also have running, which is new to me malewarebytes, it is free.. On the first run of it it found 8 PUP's and when I had an issue the guys on the site helped me out IMMEDIATELY, I am very impressed with it.....
Ok the bad points, other than the 459 thing,, this was doing a cleaning run and while it was my Security Essentials came on and said something was trying to make changes on my computer and what did I want to do with it.. So, I put it into Quarantine to check out later... well... this thing came in with my "ASC" it is called "hadsruda!bit " and is a worm.! check it out, it is bad to have on your computer, & ASC didn't find it.
It has a good maintenanance facilties , good anti-virus/malware
It is a bit pushy on its other addins that I dont want installed like Driver Booster/AntiMalware app and I notce that whenever it is installed on my Win10 PC my modern UI will most of the time be non functional/inacessible. So are my network /Win Stores icons be non functional so I have to uninstalled which doesnt solve the issue and use my Win backup to get them to work again
This is the most risky app I have concluded to be installed on my Win10 but I think it all depends on the hardware on another PC it might not exhibit this behaviour. But for now it is not installed on this PC.
Being a PC tech I work on a lot of systems, and ASC is a no-BS antivirus + system maintenance suite that won't bog your system down that actually works, unlike most others, and it works ~extremely~ well.
I would say ASC Ultimate is to antivirus what Malwarebytes is to malware protection, as I recently got a desktop system from a little old lady (with zero protection programs) that had MANY deep, widespread infections, even in her hard drive master boot record, that ASC quickly detected and cleaned which other scanners missed it completely. ASC was also able to detect infections that had tried sneaking past when my data recovery program was backing up files from the drive.
The only downside is Iobit doesn't cut me checks for being an unaffiliated techie fanboy who lavishes praise upon their software and highly recommends it to everyone I meet on the job.
While Windows Defender gives most users enough AV protection, ASC Ultimate combines an outstanding AV engine with numerous system maintenance features and a HUGE host of other extremely useful programs - Some free, others not. ASC is an absolute necessity I have on all of my computers, second only to the operating system itself, and I recommend it to all my customers.
It does the cleaning and virus blocking favorably. So does the automated functions.
I had a scare after a registry fix /cleanup when after my first reboot after that maintenace my Win10 Modern Ui page fail to show so did my Winows Store and Microsof Edge (they fail to respond respond/start up). Only after a few shutdown/restart does it reappear /respond again. I'm looking for alternative app to avoid IO Bit
The last complain during my first update to Win10 much earlier on was that the IObit "Start menu8 " is it had totally destroyed my Modern Ui start page it and nothing I could do to bring the page back I had to reinstall my Win10 to get it back (that is why they scrambled to update the Start Menu 8) but I cant commet on that because, I have so far stayed away from installing StartMenu8.
It has a straight-forward UI, no extra annoying blather. You click, it does, that's that! It will give a gentle suggestion to scan, clean up, optimize, etc, only if/when needed. No annoying pop-ups. Settings can be set to match user's knowledge level.
It would be nice to see more personalization features.
It's a great all-in-one utility for any skill level. It's compact, effective & runs smoothly. It's to the point & performs tasks the user specifies, not trying to "sneak in" anything unwanted. You can know exactly what will be done simply by hovering over the task; the floating message tells you what the function does in common language, not confusing computer-jargon. Just click.
Cicely from customer service is great to deal with. Every time I have had an issue I email and get a quick and helpful response. All the computers we have are still working well so we are happy to continue using Advanced Systemcare Ultimate.
The interface is fairly simple to use, and if your computer is fast enough you can leave all the settings' functions turned 'on' - that's what I do and my laptop performs well. I perform an antivirus scan and a full care scan every couple of weeks and that's it, the program seems to do the rest :)
I really don't have any. I've been happy with it for 2 years now.
Used it for 2 years. Great service, especially from Cicely. Still happy with it :)
the overall increase in computer speed, both online (with the "Turbo Boost" feature) and offline ... the auto defrag ...the one-click "Scan" that does a dozen or more things ....and it does offer a warranty if you don't like it
sometimes it misses a virus or two which my other program catches, but that's normal
I used the free version of ASC for a month or so back when ... then upgraded to ASC PRO for a year and then later to ASC ULTIMATE. There's a clear gain in performance even with the free version, but with the PRO or ULTIMATE versions, there was for my machine a big difference. I use the auto "defrag" set for daily, the RAM counter to clear out memory as needed, the "scan" every day or two ... and for sure, the TURBO booster for internet speed.
