  Very nice side bar looks like original PDF

  Paid for the product and the license code would not register the product. Emailed sales and support directly, used ticketing system and after a week nobody has responded from over a dozen attempts at contact. They take your money and have non-existent support.

  I tried to convert a PDF with a lot of illustrations to html. This program, like almost all of them I sampled, created a garbage html file in which almost all the illustrations were separated from their associated paragraphs. Most programs created a similarly jumbled file. I thought the file might be too difficult for an off-the-shelf program to convert, but one program, Click-to-Convert, did do the job quite well.

  1 time out of 20 it worked as indicated. Your chances of hitting the lottery are better. Could be good program. With no instructions, and no person to ask about the operation it is like learning to swim by being thrown into the water and hoping.,

  I realize the pros have cons, but I could not come up with any reason to use this conversion, it is unlikely they will sell a sufficient quantity to pay for the development of a proper help system.

  Summary

  The purporse of the program is great. It it worked it would be even better. There are so many holes in the program it would cause it to sink faster than the Titanic. Programs have a number of issues. They must be usable without a 400 page manual. They should be intuiative. In other words they should have a tendency to lead one from one logical step to the next without that much help. Using a word to difine a word is definitely not the way to go. Eg. Type in an X. Put an X on the spot. That is not a way to define the proper way to give instructions. Believe me when I tell you that this could not be a personal attack. I can't find a person to ask anything, so this is quite out of the question. If I could use profanity, I would just use it to say how terrible the program is to use and that is a compliment.

  Pros

  Converts lines in correct formats. Other programs fail at table line drawing, drawing borders through the text. This program, so far is the only one I have found that does this correctly.

  Cons

  After conversion, in an HTML editor it is not pure text - looks like stiched together editable pieces. No problem until you hit the enter key to insert a line. It fails. Saves each file in a separate folder - have to manually access each folder.

  Summary

  Good buy for the money I guess. I wouldn't pay more for it. Needs option to save html files all in one folder so you can batch process them easy after conversion ie import all to an html help authoring tool without having to open all the individual folders manually. Has valuable options to resize text during conversion. The navigation pane looks lousy and overwrites itself on screen, but I do not need that anyway.

  Takes snapshots of each pdf page and saves it as a jpg image of poor quality of over 750mB in size. The size will matter to dial up users which will have to spend 3 minutes per page to view.

  Summary

  Keep looking, this is not what you probably want yo use. You can do the same thing yourself at about 30 seconds per image and 1 line of html code. (minus the side navigation frame)

  Has a nice feature which makes a left navigation frame listing all pdf's in a list.

  Cons

  Did nothing more than take a snapshot of each full pdf page and saves them as a full page jpg files, at over 750 kb in size each... I can do that myself and get a better converted quality image.

  Summary

  Find another solutions, this one is not what you are looking for unless you don't care if the viewer is on dialup and will have to spend 3 minutes to view each turned page.

  Resultant HTML file would not load into older Dreamweaver, and didn't look good on Internet Explorer 6, Windows XP system. Is there not anyone who can do a PDF-to-HTML converter where the HTML file actually looks like the PDF file and it is not crammed up with far more and complex code than required to do the job?! wizguru@consumertronics.net

  Converted the PDF in a user friendly format.

  Cons

  The program converted my PDF, but coded some of text incorrectly resulting in mIXed caSE WOrdS. This was unacceptable so I deleted the program from my hard drive.

  Has a goofy user interface. Gave it a 43 page document to convert. Created a folder with 90 files in it!. Each page of PDF was one HTML file and one .JPG file. The original file was 2 columns. So I opened an HTML page and lo and behold, when you select contiguous text, both colums get selected! The text runs from one column to next for a line, then back to first column for the next line, and so on!
