I tried to convert a PDF with a lot of illustrations to html. This program, like almost all of them I sampled, created a garbage html file in which almost all the illustrations were separated from their associated paragraphs. Most programs created a similarly jumbled file. I thought the file might be too difficult for an off-the-shelf program to convert, but one program, Click-to-Convert, did do the job quite well.

I realize the pros have cons, but I could not come up with any reason to use this conversion, it is unlikely they will sell a sufficient quantity to pay for the development of a proper help system.

The purporse of the program is great. It it worked it would be even better. There are so many holes in the program it would cause it to sink faster than the Titanic.
Programs have a number of issues. They must be usable without a 400 page manual. They should be intuiative. In other words they should have a tendency to lead one from one logical step to the next without that much help. Using a word to difine a word is definitely not the way to go. Eg. Type in an X. Put an X on the spot. That is not a way to define the proper way to give instructions.
Believe me when I tell you that this could not be a personal attack. I can't find a person to ask anything, so this is quite out of the question. If I could use profanity, I would just use it to say how terrible the program is to use and that is a compliment.

Converts lines in correct formats. Other programs fail at table line drawing, drawing borders through the text. This program, so far is the only one I have found that does this correctly.

After conversion, in an HTML editor it is not pure text - looks like stiched together editable pieces. No problem until you hit the enter key to insert a line. It fails. Saves each file in a separate folder - have to manually access each folder.

Good buy for the money I guess. I wouldn't pay more for it. Needs option to save html files all in one folder so you can batch process them easy after conversion ie import all to an html help authoring tool without having to open all the individual folders manually. Has valuable options to resize text during conversion. The navigation pane looks lousy and overwrites itself on screen, but I do not need that anyway.

Did nothing more than take a snapshot of each full pdf page and saves them as a full page jpg files, at over 750 kb in size each... I can do that myself and get a better converted quality image.

Has a goofy user interface. Gave it a 43 page document to convert. Created a folder with 90 files in it!. Each page of PDF was one HTML file and one .JPG file. The original file was 2 columns. So I opened an HTML page and lo and behold, when you select contiguous text, both colums get selected! The text runs from one column to next for a line, then back to first column for the next line, and so on!
