Adult Photo Blanker for Windows

This application claims to block inappropriate Web site images, but it simply blocked all sites during our tests.

Adult Photo Blanker starts well, thanks to the quick Setup Wizard. But everything else heads downhill. Some of our testers were unable to register the free program. No tester was able to actually confirm the program worked as promised. For each system user, the Install Wizard offers three security levels: Child, Adult, or No Filtering. Adult Photo Blanker claims filtering is accomplished through an artificial intelligence engine that differentiates offensive from nonoffensive images. The program failed to block only adult images, however. It did block images, but did so by blocking all Web sites. Changing configuration was impossible after loading the application. Adult Photo Blanker either failed to allow registration, or the interface failed to display on accounts set to Adult or No Filtering.

Even its freeware status can't offset Adult Photo Blanker's poor performance. It offers no value for any user.
