From Wladimir Palant :Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of all those ads and banners. Right-click on a banner and choose Adblock from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Or click Adblock Plus icon in the toolbar to see all elements of the page and block the banners. You can use filters with wildcards or even regular expressions to block complete banner factories.

Version: Adblock Plus 1.0.2
"Prevents nearly all pop ups and built in ads! Awesome."
Pros: Barely have any pop ups which also prevents browsing from being slowed.
Cons: Cnn somehow manages to still sneak by some ads but they go directly behind the browser.

Version: Adblock Plus 1.0.2
Pros: It just does his work - block the internet ads.
Nothing more, nothing less.
I haven't seen any ads for years now.Cons: The settings are a little unobvious, but they need to be set only once.
Summary: Experiencing the web without ads - or at least with a whole lot fewer ads - is awfully pleasant.
