Kill annoying pop-up ads while surfing the Web.

Eliminate pop-up advertising from opening up on your computer as you surf the Internet. It connects directly into Internet Explorer and works in the background, increasing your productivity and easing your frustration. It allows pop-ups from sites you use that require them, such as support, banks, e-commerce, etc. It allows manual control over pop-up ads, so when you see a pop-up you want is being blocked, you can easily allow it with a single key press. AdBeGone won't clutter your system tray while it is running. When a pop-up is detected (and terminated), your cursor will change to identify it, a tray icon will show for a second, and a sound will play. Note that any of these notification options can also be turned on and off.

Summary
I tried a lot of pop up blocks. I like this one the best. It just blocks pop ups in Internet Explorer. It has a couple of configuration options but nothing complicated. You can add sights that are normally blocked to the program so they will not be blocked. You can also override blocking by depressing the CTRL key. A red X appears and jumps up and down in the cursor tray and then disappears to indicate that your are clicking on a sight that is being blocked by AdBeGone. On a scale of one to 10 this is a 9.6. Free for 14 days. $19.99 to purchase.
