Access Manager offers you secure storage for your passwords, but its interface and functionality won't meet more sophisticated demands. Enter account and password information, along with any notes about your account, and Access Manager will store and retrieve that information. The application lacks flexibility; you can't customize fields of password entry nor can you select where your passwords will be stored. Don't expect to apply a master password to interface with your OS either. The program s interface is clean and easy to use and provides strong search capabilities. To use a password, you need to open Access Manager, search for the account, and copy it manually to a Web page or an application. All things considered, we recommend Access Manager to users who need password security management for a small number of important accounts.

OK Program, but won't let you export!!!

encrypts your passwords safely easy to use
Cons
- Won't work on 64-bit versions of windows - no export in free version, this basically holds your passwords hostage once you enter them. You can only export if you pay them money!
Summary
This is an ok program which I have used for years. I decided to switch to a program that works with 64-bit versions of windows (Access Manager does not) and found out there is no export feature unless you pay the author money. This feels like my passwords are being held hostage for a ransom! DO NOT USE unless you want to be stuck with this program forever!!

worked okay until i loaded all my passwords then decided to have a bug. i like to keep things simple so i dont appreciate someone that says they are safe trusted and spyware free sending out junk that is probably not tested in the first place. i have downloaded 4 items that have come up on spyware scans. dont lie to me. are your downloads safe or not? I guess i will try out tucows next, see if they are trustworthy. if you all cause someones computer to get screwed up you should have to fix it, regardless of your disclaimer.

secure, reliable, flexible, good features, easy to use. has the editor used it for more than 5 minutes? <p> <p>i've never needed to customize fields <p>there are several password fields per record <p>each of which can be drag and dropped to your <p>webpage/window with very customizable drag options <p>(e.g. minimize access manager during drag, restore after etc) <p>I have 150+ passwords and associated info, and use <p>it all the time. <p>as for the editors comments; you 'dont' need <p>to copy and paste, you can copy with a single click next to the password or you can drag and drop the password field directly to where you want it to go. The database can be installed wherever you want as the application can be installed anywhere you want (like <p>most .net applications can simply be copied to any location yu want to run it from) you can seperately locate the database in the pro version (db management features) but i dont have a need for this.

A bit more flexible than a mere password manager. I use it to store all sorts of secure information as well as a good place to leave information that I would like to use on another networked computer. Can't agree with the Editors review, seems to me it does do the things the editor is saying it does not. It's quick, efficient and does what it says on the tin.

It's free, it works and look better than most other password managers

Version 1.3 of this program was excellent. Small, fast. Then they decided to use Microsoft .net Framework. On my computer Access Manager 2.0 starts up slower than larger programs, such as Outlook 2003. And it uses over 30 MB of RAM. <p>The free version doesn't allow exporting. Hopefully it stays freeware, otherwise better choose a open source password manager or at least one that does allow exporting. <p> <p>Tested with Microsoft .net Framework 2.0Final version, so their hopes that the resource utility will be better than 1.x. or 2.0 beta turn out right. <p> <p>If you're using Access Manager 1.3, stick to it!
