CNET Editors' review
Multifunction apps are great, but they often include features you don't need, or they poorly implement ones you do. ALToolbar at least, doesn't suffer from the latter--it is a well put-together little package, from the standpoint of appearance and ease of use.
The included functions work well, generally, and are easily accessed through the toolbar added to Internet Explorer. However, the Search and Internet Cleaner functions don't offer much beyond those built into IE7, while the Capture tool has some nice, but fairly common, features. The single point of failure for this application is the ALPass and Bookmarks features' reliance on creating an online account. We couldn't receive the validation e-mail on accounts behind spam filters. The company is apparently aware of the e-mail problem, but seems to think it can do nothing about it. Yet it continues to rely on e-mail for account validation. Until the issue is addressed, users may have to jump through hoops to use the extension's two major features, which do work well once the account is finally setup.
Our testing found no stability issues, and installation and uninstallation were relatively simple. Unfortunately, a software updater was installed separately, and it and the application's installation directory were not removed on uninstall. If this toolbar's features appeal to you, and you are willing and able to work around the e-mail verification issue, then this freeware is certainly worth the download.

"Great Product So Far!"
Version: ALToolbar 1.52
Pros
I was looking for an autologin feature without having to have a full security suite with it. I'd had that before and it was just so resource-heavy and because my pc is so old (9yrs., yes I need a new one, lol), the whole suite thing was getting cumbersome. Since I installed ALToolbar, my pc runs faster because it doesn't have all of the other stuff slowing it down. I detest banners and flash adverts and the Flash Blocker feature is awesome! I didn't experience a problem with email verification..that must have been straightened out by the time I came along to download it.
Cons
None, so far...
Summary
I like this software..it has everything that I need in an autologin product, and it's easy to use, too :)

"It is a great product, I only use autologin."
Version: ALToolbar 1.52
Pros
Logs in to 90+% of sites with little or no effort.
Cons
It's tough to setup. And cause there 2 similar apps (al pass) is the other one it is possible to install the wrong one.
Summary
Autologin is on the altoolbar. Currently v 1.52. When installing take the option to disable all toolbars. They are easily reenabled. If you don't do that you're gonna have trouble. Good luck.

"Program has several undocumented problems."
Version: ALToolbar 1.52
Pros
I was running win7 32 bit. The program ran like a top, but then I convereted to win 7 64 bit and all is now bad.
Cons
It turns out that there 2 IE8's in win7 64 only one of which has the altoolbar. Additionally some sites appear to work (allogin) and others don't. This pretty much makes the product useless. I e-mailed support 4 days ago and have heard nothing.
Summary
The program has problems. No support. No useful documentation. And obviously wasn't tested before release.
