Publisher's description
From akgupta :AKGBackup is a multi-platform compatible backup program that is written entirely in Java. It is a utility for backing up your files, with an option to compress data, on a different hard disk drive, floppies, different partition of the same disk drive or any media an operating system can write to.
After the first run, subsequent runs are blazingly fast as only the changed or new files are backed up. It can also create a specified number of backups so that one can have older as well as newer backups.
In version 2, after the specified number of backups have been created, AKGBackup will simply update the old backups, greatly reducing the time taken for subsequent backups.

Version: AKGBackup 2
Pros: This backup utility is more than just easy to use. The test of a backup program occurs when you need to do a restore. After reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling Windows, I just downloaded AKG Backup again and restored my backup of Documents and Settings. My new computer files were then indistinguishable from my old ones with every bit of data intact. Moreover, when I had a little confusion (self inflicted due to forgetting that I used compression for my backup) the programmer replied to my email within 12 hours and set me on the right course. I would recommend this backup to anyone.
Cons: None.

Version: AKGBackup 2
Pros: I am still learning to use AKGbackup but so far I like it's simple interface, it is not a large application so it dose not take up much disk space and it runs really fast. The compression function is fast as well. You can not beat it, there is not much free backup software out there that is this simple to use, it's java, I like it!

"Seems to be a pretty cool little tool. Simple and to the point."
Pros: Easy to use, very simple interface, so easy a caveman could do it!
Cons: It would be nice if the software would allow users to create folders while browsing for the destination drive, this is just a minor annoyance and not a deal breaker. Maybe that feature will be implemented in a future update.

Pros: user interface is simple and to the point, and does a good job
Cons: the good stuff costs a little, however registration is free.
