"Trash, Waste of hard disk space"

May 02, 2009  |  By FaceDownOnTheFloor

 |  Version: ADShareit SWF to Video Converter Pro 5.5.0

Pros

Can't find any

Cons

Wouldn't convert swf files into any other format

Summary

this may be flagged as a free product but it is a trial that inserts nag frames in your finished movie file stating this in the startup screen which gives you the option to pay or continue evaluation. Why you would want to pay for software that wont do what it is supposed to.

Don't bother downloading its a waste of time.

"Sucks!!!! Totally agree with the previous review- poor quality, NO sound at all."

March 29, 2008  |  By KGNYC

 |  Version: ADShareit SWF to Video Converter Pro 5.3

Pros

The fact that it's free- but then it's not worth it anyway

Cons

poor quality, no sound. And CNet- please make sure to delete such reviews as the 1st two for this product- apparently, the 5 stars were given by someone who either produced this "masterpiece" or got paid for providing the review.

"Poor quality crap"

March 03, 2008  |  By tunghoy

 |  Version: ADShareit SWF to Video Converter Pro 5.3

Cons

The software manufacturer obviously submitted their own 2 reviews on this page to give themselves a high rating (notice the dummy text in the reviews).

This converter produces nothing usable, and I have a new, super-fast machine. The trial version with the watermark works better than the paid version.

What were they thinking when they released this?

"Very Good"

June 08, 2006  |  By mr exuberant

 |  Version: ADShareit SWF to Video Converter Pro 5.1.2

Pros

I've looked at several swf to gif converters, but all failed to play movie clips, and exporting gifs in Flash gives terrible quality. This converter ACTUALLY WORKS with movie clips and gives a perfect quality gif image. This can also convert swf to avi, but i have never used this.

Cons

I set a gif image to have 30fps, but my computer played it very slowly. I always use my personal laptop, which has a slower processing speed, but i have made 30fps gif images before that did not lag, so i believe that this is an error with the program. Also, the "watermark" is not a waterwark for it is not transparent. The watermark also covers up small images. However, this is no problem in the full version of course. I would rate this 4.5/5, except i can't do that. :)

"Basically works, but certain problems"

September 21, 2005  |  By rugtuft

 |  Version: ADShareit SWF to Video Converter Pro 4.8.6

Pros

It seems to handle basic SWFs just fine, and with pretty good quality. On this count, it is indeed a painless program. It appears to work by first recording the SWF as it would be played by the Flash Player, then it converts. It actually made a valiant attempt to record externally linked FLV files -- no small task for a SWF converter.

Cons

It had a problem with my Creative EMU card; it didn't record the sound. I suspect this might not happen with a consumer level sound card. And unfortunately, though it made a real effort, including externally linked FLVs didn't work, and the whole output was corrupted.
