Mootools' 3D Photo Browser is a digital asset management program specifically designed to manage, process, and organize 3D files, though it will also handle regular image files. It displays file size and type in large, customizable thumbnails, a handy feature. You can edit images and video, MP3 tags, animated GIFs, and other file types.
We were able to get up and running with this program immediately, but there is a comprehensive Help file that explains how to use 3D Photo Browser in great detail, if you need it. The interface is clean and well designed, and we easily navigated to a folder of images. There is an integrated 3D OpenGL textured viewer and a feature-packed image and video editor. You can batch rename all of the files in a selected folder using the Rename command, which is a great feature. You can also batch-save multiple files at a lower resolution for sending in e-mail or posting on the Web. There's a slideshow feature that lets you use your sound and image files, which is good for presentations and photo sharing. You can organize files into albums and perform custom searches with 3D Photo Browser, too.
This is a 30-day trial version of the software. 3D Photo Browser installs and uninstalls with no problems. It automatically installs a desktop icon, but you can easily delete it, should you wish to. This program has much to offer to a wide range of users, including photographers, animators, and musicians.
