Aimed at making simple 3D animations out of text, buttons, logos, and the like, this application can help even beginning designers get up and running quickly. Its initial installation process drags a bit, but once operating, it offers a considerable range of options. New users are presented with a simple step-by-step wizard that opens with the program, while experienced users can create a new project using the wizard itself, adapt one of the included templates, or start from a blank slate. The program offers a large number of elements that help give text or graphics a third dimension, applying bevel, lighting, photo-realistic surfaces, and motion. A catalog of banners, icons, arrows, and other graphic elements is included. Experienced designers may want a more powerful animation tool, but for those who simply want to give new dimensions to text or simple graphics, this download will do the trick.Publisher's description

Users can add the impact of high-quality 3D graphics and animations to Web pages, banner ads, videos, and presentations. Visual wizards walk users through five galleries of lighting, text entry, bevels, materials, and motions. Each gallery offers more than 100 customizable choices. Users can also automatically import existing logos, photos, and artwork as 2D objects, then animate them in 3D with a single click. Create cool effects like soft-edged shadows, photorealistic surfaces, and animated textures and backgrounds. 3D Impact Pro supports JPEG, PNG, and all varieties of GIF (including transparent GIFs with antialiasing). It outputs digital movies as well (animated GIF, AVI, and sequenced 32-bit TGA, TIFF, and GIF).
Version 1.28 supports DirectX rendering for preview shading.

"My god, effects fail miserably!!"
Pros: None. You heard me. Nothing good.
Cons: -Effects don't work

-I can go on and on...Summary: These effects fail miserably in the free version. No, they do not rotate, flip, spin, etc etc. It is a spoof of Paint. Well, for ME, they don't spin or rotate. Maybe i should let it finish installing next time..
