Solitaire fans will love 123 Free Solitaire's collection of free solitaire card games for Windows. It includes 12 solitaire variations ranging from Diplomat to Yukon, though upgrades are available when you're ready for them. But 123 Free Solitaire isn't just some adware in a game wrapper: It has a top-quality, fully customizable interface; a Help menu with rules, hints, and tips; and more.

Pros

Attractive layout: An Office-style Ribbon toolbar, game-table-green background, and realistic card animation give 123 Free Solitaire a classy look. The Appearance menu let us customize Card Set, Card Back, and Background; choose Blue, Black, and Silver color schemes; show or hide the Ribbon and Status Bar; set animation effects; and configure performance options.

Many games: If you thought Solitaire was just one game, 123 Free Solitaire will introduce you to fascinating variations like Forty Thieves, Grandfather's Clock, and three kinds of Spider.

Help menu: The Help menu includes a fully indexed and searchable Help file with rules and instructions for all Solitaire games, a glossary, customization tips, and contact info.

Cons

Sign up for spam: A Web page asking us to "Complete installation by providing your email" appeared when we finished installing 123 Free Solitaire. Since no activation or registration is required to use this freeware, we declined.

Do like the new Golf 1-2

Cons

They took out my favorite game: Royal rendezvous & deleted old version so I could not re-install it. Also Pyramid often leaves 1 card to clear & 3 in stack then will not let you return to it. It's limited to one undo at a time, not like mobile apps.

Summary

Want the old version, but sites that offer it do not have updated security credentials so will not touch them.

Pros

123 free solitaire has many of the classic solitaire games I like to play. it's free. It runs smoothly on Windows 8.1 and on Windows 10. It has very large cards which fill my screen. Really, really like it!

Cons

There is nothing negative I can say about this game. On second thoughts yes... it's addictive! :D

"AVOID! Trojans and other harmful stuff!"

None. Wanted to like it, but too many issues.

Cons

Avast blocked no less than three trojans during pre-install. If you don't choose custom install it adds unwanted useless bloatware without notice. I did the custom install and it still hijacked my web browser! Unacceptable!

Summary

Riddled with trojans, bloatware and browser hijackers. Not with the "free" price. Seriously, this should be taken down.

Easy to install, fast play, nice graphics

Things that you could add in future are more solitaire games! :)

Pros

Didn't have program on computer long enough to find any.

Cons

Lacks options found on twenty year old Windows versions of solitaire, such as the ability to choose between one or three card flips in Klondike.

Read carefully and don't enter email address when requested. It also tries to get your email address "to complete uninstallation!"

Operates as advertised and looks and performs great on my large screen monitor. Has a great mix of solitaire games suitable for me and my family.
